So there is a noticeable difference with the 265/75/16 and 265/70/r16? It's only like an inch bigger in diamter. What is the next size up from 265/75/16 and what sort of issues are there with that tire?

going to a bigger heavier tire will hurt your gas mileage.

Can someone show me a wheel and/or wheel/spacer and/or spacer combination that would allow me to run 285/75-R16 ?

also any triming that would need to be added

You're going to need 3" of lift also

Any 16" rim that has 4.5" of backspacing or LESS

Any 16" rim with 5.75" (or less) of backspacing PLUS a 1.25" spidertrax spacer. You will only need spacers for the front.

No, I have Bilstein 5100's set at 2.5". After installation I measured 3-1/8" of lift in the front. Also have a 2" AAL in the rear.

Have you measured it since? It could have settled a little. You will be close at 2.5" regardless.

3" Procomp susp lift & 3" Body Lift/ SPC UCAs.
    265/75-16 in a BFG AT = 31.7" X 10.6" X 16.

I have 295/75-16s on mine w/ a 6" lift and I still had to cut the front of my frame on both sides, behind the tires.

    The 295s are 33.2" X 11.5" X 16.

    What about a 275/70/R16 vs. 270/75/R16? Why didn't anyone mention the 275?

I have 2 1/4" on the front of mine and I have 16x10 wheels and 265/75/16 Duratracs and I still rub if I get in a bind or if I turn to full lock in reverse. I"d go with smaller width wheels and put some spacers behind em if you want the aggressive stance.

There is no 275/75R16 to my knowledge, at least Tirerack.com does show them as avaiable.

275/70R16's are slightly shorter than 265/75/R16 and a hair wider. They would look almost identical side by side.

Eh.. I am thinking about doing something similar. How did these look compared to the stocks? My stocks look way too small with my 2.5" lift.

Also are you saying you would go with spacers if you went any bigger than 265/75/16?
