I posted this in the 4cyl section but thought I would try and get a few more views here.

I have a 2012 2dr 4wd and as you know there is little room to drop a tool box in the bed without hitting the wheel wells. Does anyone know if this box fits before I special order it from Lowes in black. Thanks in advance for your assistance. Keith

As long as it has the angled sides you should be ok , it should say Fits small trucks.

Yes it will fit. I had one in my truck but got rid of it. Took up too much room in my shortbed.

I have that exact box in my 2007. Far as I know they haven't changed the beds, so it will fit.

For just a tool box, grab one of the Geneva rear mounts or something like that. Shortbed would definitely get off the bed inboard side boxes if something like that was needed., wouldn't think twice about it.

I have a UWS on mine like that now. Just got a bed cover so will sell the box. This is what it looks like on my 2013 Tacoma.
