Winch Mount

Can someone recommend one of those hybrid bumper/winch mount things that installs in this part of a Gen-2 front end? TIA.

SSO, Warn, or Victory 4x4 all make that style of winch mount.

C4 used to have a lo pro, but looks like it's been discontinued.

 

Not bad, but the price is a little steep. I suppose it depends on what options I get. I'm looking at about $918 for what I would want.

I'd also like it to not interfere with my Avid Brush Bar.

 

That might be a probem.

I'll be getting mine with no bar on top, no access holes and a 20" light bar included.

 

It looks like you can only get the Warn with the bar on top and it looks like the Warn also protrudes slightly more than the SSO winch mount (that could also be due to camera angle).

 

Well, here is a piss-poor Photochop job; it might clear the horizontal tube of the brush bar if the mount does not stick out too far....

 

Do you really need the brush guard?
It's usually the first thing that gets installed and then removed.

 

It was on the truck when I bought it. One thing it does is it gives me a place to mount those Rigid lights. If I have to remove the brush guard and then spend nearly $1000 for the winch mount I might as well just get a whole new bumper.

Trust me; you're going to want to see your spool once a winch is installed in the bumper. You need to have some sort of an access hole/window in front. I have a Body Armor Hiline bumper, had mounted a 22" light bar in it but became frustrated that I couldn't see the spool of the Harbor Freight 12K Apex that I installed. So I removed the light bar and used a piece of polycarbonate in it's place:

I have been looking for this same style winch mount. Most likely will be getting one from US OffRoad. Looks good, reasonable price, fairly light weight.
