Does anyone have any experience fishing/backpacking the Wind River Mountain Range? I plan on heading up there toward the mid to end of July and looking for some insight on how to get the most solitude/good fishing for the 10 days I am there.

    Thank you,

    Bill

Mosquitoes are really bad this year. Bring a head net.

Sorry, for some reason I did not get a notification that you guys had posted on here. We started at Elkhart Trailhead, hit Pole Creek, and then went up and over Angel Pass and fished the lakes on the east side of the divide. Not sure if you are familiar with that area? With the high snow fall this year it made it a little difficult in areas but in other areas the hard packed snow helped. The mosquitos weren't too bad on where we were fishing but hiking in/out they were absolutely miserable in some areas. We didn't see a single soul or animal for 10 days. The hike out we ran into quite a few people going in, but no one on the way in.
