    Hey guys,

I did some searching but couldn't find anyone whose documented replacing their window seals themselves, just a couple where the dealer replaced them. My truck is making a lot of noise from the front driver and passenger window. It's only noticeable on the highway at 110kmh (70mph) and above. It is also dependant on the direction the wind is blowing. This isn't the kazzoo noise that others have reported. I've already replaced my front driver and passenger doorseals with the updated part numbers. My noise is whistling, and if the wind is bad, it sounds like the window isn't rolled all the way up.

I realized recently that air is leaking in the front bottom corners of the driver and passenger windows. This is really noticeable when I go through a car wash. When there is soap on the outside of the window, and the climate control fans are running inside the vehicle, I get tons of bubbling in these areas. I've uploaded a couple of short videos here:
    https://youtube.com/shorts/OYQWVGr986Y?si=O0xPdeXCWtT47bq5
    https://youtube.com/shorts/4RqV9K0rJ78?si=CucW0-pQ5GQOFRaq

I've decided to replace these window seals in hope of a fix. This noise has been driving me crazy for years. I'm at the point where I'm ready to sell the vehicle if I can't resolve it shortly.

I've uploaded parts diagram photos of the window seals. Part number two in the picture. The part numbers for the window seals are :
    Driver: 68151-04030
    Passenger: 69141-04030

The dealer wants 1 hour per side to replace the seals. I usually do all of my own work. I couldn't find any documentation online regarding the seal replacement. I haven't received the new seals yet, but it looks like they may just press into place? Does anyone know the required steps? It looks like I will have to remove the interior door drim, and possibly the side view mirrors? I've had the door trim off, but never the mirrors. I'm assuming it wouldn't be too difficult to do.

    Any input is greatly appreciated!

Pull the door panel. I usually pull the door glass it makes it much easier (but can be done with the glass in).

Following becasue I was just looking at the window seals on my 07 and wondered if it was time to replace them too. I recently replaced the door seals for the PS front and access doors because of wind noise. It helped a little, but like you the noise becomes especially annoying on road trips.

Thanks for the post and info.

I'll remove the glass if it makes it easier, thanks for the heads up. Does the old seal just pull out and the new one presses in? I haven't received the parts yet so I haven't had a chance to see what it looks like.

I don't have that specific product, but I have tried silicone grease, which is what that product appears to be.

Did it do anything to alleviate the wind noise?

The Kazoo noise is a different issue. I don't have that problem. I tried the additional weather stripping from the YouTube video you posted. It didn't make any noticeable difference, and I believe it interferes with the factory seal. I removed the additional weather stripping and installed the new door seals from the TSB. They worked better than the YouTube video mod, and may have helped quiet the cabin slightly, but I don't believe the door seals are the source of my noise.

You can see my window seals are letting air through if you watch the videos from my original post.

Yep. The old will just pull out a a new just presses in, easy peasy.

Awesome, thanks! I'll update the thread once I receive and install the new ones. Likely by next weekend. Fingers crossed...

My next fix attempt will be to install the Weathertech Side Window Deflectors. They fit directly into the window channel. I've read on this forum that this fixed the wind noise for a couple of users. This would be a much cheaper option than replacing the window seals, but I'm going to try the window seals first anyways. I'd rather fix the problem directly than try to cover it up.

I have the AVS deflectors (front doors only on my AC) and considered removing the PS one to see if there was any change. Hopefully not because I really like having them.
Keep us posted on the window seals.
    Thanks again.

Do the AVS ones mount in the window channel? From what I've read, that should help to reduce wind noise. Did you notice a difference when you installed them?

Yes, they are the in channel style. Honestly when I installed them 3 years ago I didn't have a wind noise problem either before or after. I started noticing the wind noise a year ago this past October while driving to AZ.
I put WeatherTech deflectors on my wife's SUV. Both are very similar, but the WeatherTech have a little better quality.

My window seals were shipped today. I should have them next week. I'm wondering if I should be replacing the exterior weatherstrip for the front door glass as well. The window seals I ordered only seal along the sides and top of the window. I'm wondering if this piece could contribute to wind noise as well?
    SmartSelect_20231228_160907_Samsung Internet.jpg

If you lool at the exterior of the window, this piece of weatherstrip appears to have gaps on the ends. I'm not sure that it contributes to the seal of the glass?

if I had any doubts about door seals I’d start by cleaning and treating them for free

Already tried that. I'm not concerned about the door seals. I've already replaced them with the new part numbers. I'm looking at window seals now.
