window switches

has anyone switched out all their window switches with the auto switches? Or maybe used the auto up/down from the lexus in their places? Would it work?

 

Not sure about the Tacoma's.

However, on the Freightliner trucks I work on, there is a module that controls the auto-down function, separate from the switch itself.

I've only ever had to replace that module once, and it was because the window wouldn't work altogether, not just because the auto-down wasn't working.

If memory serves me correct, the switch was only about $30. So it probably would be a cheap mod.

ive been after this for a while. i would like lit passenger window switch and auto on all 3 both on the 2 on the driver door and one on passenger door.
I was former lexus tech and i know what they are lit and auto up and down on all lexus's. now i wanna say that the drivers switch block is module its not separate. but i know on many other cars it is separate.
also does anyone know what 4runners have. what iv been wanting to do is find a 4runner switch with auto and see if the plug connection of the taco fits the window switch block. many cars are prewired for everthing from the factory cause it cheaper to make one harness, they just dont have the components to control everything.

yeah, i found a switch on ebay i'm gonna try and get ahold of. I'll install it in the passenger side slot on the driver side and see what happens.. if it works, i'll do a writeup, if not.. i'll do a writeup.
