I want to get window Vent Visors for the Driver and Passenger side windows, not for the xtra cab windows. I have a 2000 Xtra cab. Does anyone make the clip-on/snap-in "in channel" visors for the 2000? All I found so far are the tape on ones that use double sided tape. If so, a link to them would help.

    Thanks..:D

WeatherTech offers in-channel (non-tape) visors for 1998 - 2000 Tacomas. They offer front pair only, rear pair only, or a set of all four.

I've had WeatherTechs on one of my Tacomas for over 5 years, and I like them just fine. Installation was quick 'n' easy, and they've held up as well or better than any other brand of visors I've used over the last 25 years.

they're EGR slimline in-channel window visors, or something.

    they're so-so.

i like it b/c u dont use tape, just pop it in the window channel, & b/c of the slim design (sometimes i dont even notice it), & i can crack my windows open so when i jump in my truck after work i dont roast to death.

i don't like it b/c it kinda fucked up my tint so its peeling at the top from opening & closing the window, & water still gets in when it rains & i wanna crack the window open while driving, & the driver side is kinda loose so when i roll down the window it kinda falls & i gotta push it back up then it stays.

I want them for the rain. While raining, I like the window open a little while driving. I had Vent Visors on my Jeep Grand Cherokee, and loved them. They were tape on ones, but I like the look of the clip in channel ones, that's why I'm asking....:)

I bought my 01 DC with the WeatherTech's already in. They do have tape in them to hold them tight when the window is open. My tape was no good and caused the visors to rattle around. Called weathertech and they sent me replacement high strength tape for free. Before reinstalling I put some alcohal on a rag and used a flathead screwdriver to work it into the channel to get good adhesion. Works great and love these so much more than the stick on cheaper models.

I wasn't aware WeatherTech had ever made tape-in visors. All the ones I've seen and used from them were snap-in.

I, too wanted the in channels for my 05 taco, and bought mine earlier this summer. I have erg, I think, anyway, they pop right in, and once in place, are very stable. Keeps out rain, while still allowing fresh air in. I bought mine at SV customs.com, ordered them and had them in like 2 days. I love'em. :D

They snap into the channel but the tape keeps them from moving around.
