I am using Michelin Xi3 during winter, I got it at a discounted price from 4wheelonline. It provides good traction on both sleet and snow. I usually visit my Mom in Colorado during Christmas and New Year and so far I haven't experienced any problem running this tire.

These have caught my eye lately. What’s your opinion of them so far? I know it’s early, but we’ve had snow in the Okanagan already so surely you’ve gotten to try ‘em in the slick stuff at least a bit?

General Grabber Arctic LT. No complaints other than noisy on dry pavement. Love ‘em otherwise. The modern design concept of snow-gripping-snow is evident with these tires. You can see how the snow packs in.

Unfortunately I haven't put them on yet. I bought them from Crappy Tire but I waited too long to make an appointment and they were booking half way into November by the time I did. I want them to do the first install from brand new so I have all of the road hazard stuff and replacement warranty and after that I'll put them on myself and get them balanced at a reputable shop. Had to put my old Nokian R3 SUVs on for the time being but I have no complaints on these lol!

So I've had them on for a few days and we've gotten a bit of snow albeit not much (under 8") and they're really decent. Pretty confidence inspiring in snow. I find they track very true and don't have much slip to them even in snowy slushy crappy conditions. Slush traction is awesome and so is traction in minor snow. Given that we get soft sugary snow here and there's lots of tread depth I don't foresee any issues. I will say that I haven't had them on ice at all so the true test still stands.

Edit: they're pretty damn noisy on dry ground, not quite as bad as my Cooper ST MAXX but definitely getting up there.
