Let me start by saying that I am trying to find a clean, safe, neat way to install accessory lights without tearing up my truck and putting holes unnecessarily. I don't have the aux switches in my trim level. I have the hybrid model so my battery is under the rear seat on driver side. I found that there is a battery jumper location in the passenger side fuse box. I also found that you can buy a wireless accessory controller made by trigger,
Trigger 2100 Wireless Accessory Controller 4-Switch Relay System, 1 Pack, Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07HG9ZTLF

If there was a way to power this from under the hood in the fuse box, then life would be easy (positive connection, negative connection, then yellow wire goes to acc fuse) and20241009_203838.jpg Screenshot_20241009_160904_Amazon Shopping.jpg my wiring could run under the truck to engine compartment. However, if I have to connect this controller to the battery under the seat then I have to put a hole somewhere to be determined later inside the cabin. Has anyone done anything like this? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Got to be careful, since the location always has power.

I think you are making me really scared from this hybrid trim. I think i am done thinking about adding any lights.

Another option, see the tabs where there are missing fuses?
    upload_2024-10-9_23-18-12.png
Get a female (insulated) connector and pick a spot.

The thick 12v wire can connect there? I am not understanding? Maybe if I have enough patience some of these companies will make a kit for the hybrids.

Given that they stay hot, I don't want to take a caliper to them. Do you happen to know what size female spade would be needed for leveraging those vacant fuse/relay points you marked?

If you notice the fuse next to the empty orifice, they are LP-JCase fuses.

This guy is getting 12v from this post in the fuse box. Take a look. Your thoughts?

So... I couldn't finesse the fuse box halves apart. Too many damn clips and not enough space. The upper half is what bolts down and the lower half drops off from it. But to separate the two, you have to unbolt the 4 mount points (10mm), cut the zip ties on the wire harness entrances, then get no less than 8 push points to disengage (2+ on each side including flush to the fender wall). I gave up after 30 min. Wasn't worth it to me to keep going.

However, I did confirm that all the relay blades and empty fuse positions are receiving 12v (11.77 was the actual reading) and that a blue 14-16g female spade crimp fits perfect and snug on an unused relay blade. So I suspect that'll be my power source location to keep all my wiring clean and tight on the driver's side and through the firewall gasket to the driver switch bank.

Also included are a few photos of the fuse center under the hybrid bench on the passenger side for those interested.

Aww, you should've continued with the separation of the halves. Maybe later?:burp:

I finished wiring 2 accessories and all the tinkering around made me suspect that the hybrids without switches wiring harness location ended by toyota in these 2 locations. 1. Under the rear seat on driver side as seen in you photo and marked below. 2. In the engine compartment just near the grommet where you enter through fire wall (I will add photo later) added

    That would be VERY incorrect.

That's not an aux termination. All the wires in it are white or white/black. To me that indicates it's a ground wire consolidation point. Same with the other.

Could be wrong, but it doesn't match aux wire setup at all

Sorry if I am wrong but after I finished wiring ever and I saw those, I thought those 2 locations might be where they terminated them. I finished mine without the aux switches. I installed 2 from caliraised
