I purchased a Primus IQ (90160) electric brake controler for a single axel camper trailer. There are 5 wires included on the factory provided conector and only 4 wires for the Brake Control system. The legend provided by Toyota uses different nomeclature (name) for each wire than those on the legend provided by the Primus IQ system. Any ideas?

This is from a different brand but hope it helps. It was worth it to not do the wiring to me just to purchase the $20 adapter to just plug in.

Your edit beat my reply. Sorry for overlap.

Actually, the picture your provided is the same as mine, just up side down. Wiring is not difficult. I just connected the factory provided plug to the very difficult to find and trailer brake control line under the left side of the dash. I just find myself with one wire (green-white) without a wire to which to connect. The system comes with an adapter plug with just 4 wires. (see picture)

I would say green is not needed as that is fed to the plug at back of truck and grn/wht takes its place. It must be a Tekonsha and you have a different model than I do. I didn't get a plug to fit my truck and even bought it new.

    Ridgeline001,

After a little more thought and discussion with a buddy, it was decided that the Green-White connected with the red wire along witgh the Green wire. Whala! it works.

Sorry to hear that you didn't get a plug with your Tacoma.

    Thanks for your input.

    Mike
