Thanks man, I put in close to 20 hours this weekend to get that sub frame, not including the crossmember, together. Soooo much work and soooo slow, but it should be worth it in the end.

Great coming back and seeing what you’re up to James. Some great upgrades and fab work! Can’t wait to see it in action.

Interior is back together, just need to wash the carpet and reinstall, sticks are in and adjusted. Laid down Noico sound deadening and their foam layer as well, didn’t rush it but did t really take my time either, think it came out fine though.

Case is in and oiled, the crossmembers, tranny and case supports are complete and installed as well, just needs some paint, I’ll get some pics after paint so my upside down welds don’t look so shitty. Still need to build a skid, I think I’ll salvage and piece together old skids instead of getting a fresh sheet.

Other than case related wrap up, I need to finish up reinstalling the front end, build the rear body mount once I can drive out of the garage, get the exhaust redone, and various miscellaneous wrap ups. Getting close to driving this bitch again!

    Nice work, James!

It'll be cool to see that Atlas in action. Did you get the 4-speed?

Mostly the crawler, think I'm heading towards selling the 4runner and tundra to build a 2nd gen taco.

Started the truck and drove it this weekend! (out of the garage, turned around and parked it again). Sounds fierce with no exhaust after the cats. Finished the rear body mount last night, just waiting for paint to dry and then begin reassembly of the interior and a few odds and ends, including pulling the rear diff to see why it is still leaking air inside the diff :censored::censored::censored::censored: Getting close.

The 4 gussets with holes will be used to mount the skid.

Thing has been a pain in my ass, I just had Brian go through the whole damn thing, so hopefully it was just something I did during install. The front has never had an issue though.

And thanks, ready to get this beast on the trail.

It almost looks like the underside of a brand new truck with everything freshly painted. Can’t wait to get out there and wheel with you guys again. How’s the family? I bet your son is getting big.

I know, I can't wait to scratch it and get it dirty.

Seeing drip marks on my garage floor below my dual case and seeing you finish this is making me regret getting a tacobox. :frusty:

Seems like every other post in the Carwlbox thread is a Marlin issue, we will see how this guy does. Not many running an Atlas though so the sample size is smaller.

We are doing good, our lease is up end of next month so we are trying to figure out where to go next. Coronavirus really put a wrench in the works. Trying to decide if we should stay in Bozeman a little longer or get out of here.
