That was a week ago today. That river is the southern border of Glacier NP. The Sprague fire, which burned Sperry Chalet (you may have seen news about it), is less than a mile from that spot.

In the unlikely event that you cant find any info on tacomaworld, turn to youtube. Or, if you are not in a rush, start a thread outlining your concern/issue. I've learned a lot about my truck over the last couple years on tacomaworld. Here are some of the highlights:

    - Basics: oil change, spark plugs, differential fluid change (rear, transfer, front)

    - Don't neglect greasing the zerks on the driveshaft. I do mine every other oil change. Just get a grease gun and some lithium grease.
    - Frame rust is an issue on tacomas. I painted mine with magnet paint chassis saver to protect it. It also looks really clean and shiny now.
    - Replace interior lights with LED for a significant increase in light. 5 minute job.
    - Make oil changes faster,, cleaner, and easier with a Fumoto Oil Drain Valve (link to exact one on my truck)
    - Plasti-dip is an easy and reversible way to eliminate chrome or even paint your rims.

Disclaimer: i have not read this entire thread so some of these topics have probably been covered.

I'll second the Fumoto...I have one on my Subaru Outback...haven't ordered for my Tacoma yet. All vehicles should come with these!

Had to run to HF for bootleg Loctite.

@MuddyJackson, this is what $39 gets you. Even less with a 20% coupon.

This is all you need socket wise. IMG_2891.jpg

They had 1/4" ratchet kits in a case for $14.99, if that was available in 3/8" for that price - would recommend.

One thing to pay attention to is what sizes are included. My 3/8" ratchet set is Hf and it didn't come with a 12mm, which is only the most common size bolt on our trucks.

I checked and that kit had everything in order.

    But yeah. Some skip sizes.

I'm going to sift through all these wonderful suggestions and decide what I should start with, and what tools I'd need to do that and see how that goes... yall will definitely hear about how this goes.

This is the best way to learn sometimes... It's just an expensive way.
