Won Bassin Here! Saying Hello... and needing assistance

New to the site....

Wanted to say hello. I am in a current situation that needs to asistance provided. My name is Billy Egan and I run the Professional Bass Tournament circuit WON BASS. I have been a two time Tacoma owner starting with the Extra Cab 95' driving it for 10 years, and upgrading to the Double Cab 05'. I put a lot of work into her after the first year and have been very happy with the mods.... although two weeks after paying it off... The engine terminally BLEW. I have since replaced the engine with a refab 07' 4Runner engine, in hopes to get another 100k+ out of her.

Here is where my problem lies currently....

Since I put a K&N air filter system in.... and after 3 moves lost my OG Filter system.... I can't get her smogged. I have been trying to resolvethis issue for many months. Well today Mr. DMV decided it was time to pick her up and take her to the yard. My registration was fully paid, but since I could not and have not been able to find borrow steal an OG filter... I am screwed.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Everything ended up working out today after switching out my K&N with the stock Air Filter system from a Toyota FJ. Passed with flying colors and got my sticker today. What a hassle! Now if I can buy the stock system on E-Bay cheap, I will have a solution for next time!

Um, not sure what your situation was exactly, but welcome from SoCal! BTW next time they (whoever they are) try to take your truck, wave your finger back and forth in front of their face and loudly yell, "Oh, haaaaaayll no".

 

welcome. man that sucks you guys have smog testing! we don’t well i think some counties may. but i know people with Chevys running open headers and no CATs. and all kinds of other mods.
