    That sucks!! best of luck.

I almost got hit this morning, TWICE! One guy exited the freeway and was making a left turn. I was coming from his left just getting to the left turn lane, to enter the freeway. I was lucky i didn't get to the light in time for it to detect me and give me the green arrow because that guy ran his red light making the turn. one or two seconds earlier, it would've given me the green light to turn and it would have been bad.

Then some idiot on the freeway is changing lanes without checking and almost hits a car in front of me. Well the idiot swerved back into his lane but then changed into our lane behind the guy he almost hit. Well the other idiot decides to break check and I almost rear end the first idiot.

Anyway, Best of luck to you man.

Well I do drive from southbay to torrey pines for work mon-fri and in the past couple of years, I've seen my fair share of near misses, a few accidents here and there. Just a few weeks ago I witnessed some ladies hood just fly open on the freeway and land on her windshield. Call me a dick but I busted out laughing. It was the most hilarious thing ever.... yeah, good ol' SD

    Damn...that's some serious bumper damage!

I hit a deer in my 1st gen and sent that fucker 20yrds down the road. You had to look hard to find the damage (small dent int he METAL bumper and cracked grill). I hit him going about 65mph too.

I expect the damage to be similar to yours if I hit one with my 2nd gen. It's a shame...those 1st gens were damn tough. Unfortunately, they can fend off deer but not molecular rust!

Sorry to hear about your Friday, there are much better ways to start the day than that!!! How much damage do you think was done to your truck?

I have totaled one truck and damaged several others in my drive to work in Central Florida. The deer are bad but at least try to get out of your way. My problem is wild hogs that weigh in from 20 lbs to 275 lbs. They do not have reflective eyes in the headlights like deer do and do not attempt to evade your vehicle. They stand in the road and dare you to hit them as they blend in to the pitch black asphalt. This is normally done with half a dozen of their buddies waiting in line to walk in front of you.

The last one I hit made the air bag go off and bent the steering arm sending me into the ditch. I am still choking on whatever outworldly toxins they put in those damn airbags to make them shoot at Mach 90 into your face..Oh yeah its no way to start the morning.

    Good luck,

    RC

IT DID ABOUT 5 GRAND WORTH OF DAMAGE. BUT ITS ALL GOOD. ITS GETTING FIXED AS WE SPEAK, GETTING ALL NEW OEM PARTS AND UPGRADING TO A PAINTED GRILLE INSTEAD OF THE CHROME REPLACEMENT. SO I GUESS THATS A BONUS.

Here's what good size buck did to my Taco last year at about 35mph or so. It took about $9,900 worth of "buffing" to make it all ok.

    I hate deer.
