Hello I just did my first mod I added the int wipers. Wow it was so easy. I ordered the part last week and its been sitting in the basement steps for a few days. Well I brought it to work with me and did the install waiting for time to click by. It only took me about 5 minutes. Very easy. I didn't disconnect the battery. Prob should have but I didn't.
    The bike rack is next.
I looked for a bike rack that would let me use my Yakima bike rack for the truck bed rail system. Well I couldn't find one.
Here is what I'm going to try. One Yakima bike rack. 2 Yakima crossbars. 4 bar mounts. And 4 fiberglass roof mounts. The holes for the roof mount system are about a 1/4 inch off of the holes in the rail sliders that came with the truck. So I'm going to bore out the holes in the slider and put some spacers and see if I can make this work.
    I'll keep you posted

Im curious why you dont just buy the bike mounts Toyota just put out. They fit on your sliders right behind the rear window and clip onto the front axle of your bike. I bet you can fit 3 right next to each other too/ although it does take up bed room if thats what your concerned about. But there 50 bucks a piece  Ive also read one post that suggested they were a little bit flimsy. Ive never seen them in person though. Im sure the yakima rack is much nicer but the yota sliders would be much easier since their out of the way too.

Toyota has discontinued their bike rack mount. There are better options like the L2S Sport Racks that will mount onto your Toyota bed cleats. Plus, you can use all your Thule & Yakima gear.
