Looking at low mileage replacement alternators on ebay. I know the 4 cylinder models 2TR-FE is the same engine from 2005-2014 ish. Toyota parts says the part numbers are different. Is one just a higher amperage? Will it fit and work fine?

This is what it shows in the parts breakdown for the 2.7L Engine:

    Alternator Assy 2.7L Eng

    2005-06 27060-75310-84

    2007-09 27060-75411-84

    2010
    To 10-09 27060-75411-84
    From 11-09 27060-75490

    2011
    To 10-10
    From 11-10 27060-75490

    2012-14 27060-75490

It looks like your 2005 model takes part # 27060-75310-84.

    The 2011 - 2014 years takes part # 27060-75490.

Looking at the pictures they look very much the same so your answer would be a definite maybe.

Wow you're good. Any chance you can get me the part number for the PCV hose for the same truck?

So looking into this for myself, I see the difference between them is the 2007+ models have the clutch pulley (and maybe different diameter?). I know they will mount, the timing gear cover is unchanged across the 2nd gen years. The connector and wire terminals are the same across the 4-pin versions. Can anyone tell me if a 4-pin from 2007+ will operate on a 2005/2006? I don't see why they wouldn't.

I don't see any reason that it wouldn't.
