Not sure if its in the right section but pretty straightforward. Would a bestop get signifigantly worse mileage than a regular camper shell?

Don't get me wrong the bestop is very attractive because of price and how simple it is. I happen to be paranoid about my mpg's cuz im a brokeass.

The only advantage besides price is it's easy to remove when not needed.
Less secure & more wind resistance than a hard top would be the disadvantages.
