I paid $19500 for my 06 AC TRD OR SR5 4x4 with 40,064 miles on it a few weeks ago. Had one owner (older gentleman) and is in GREAT condition. I REALLY don't think it ever went off road. I think I got a good deal on it?[IMG]

No, I would buy a truck with less options and fewer miles. High mileage is a deal breaker for me with any vehicle, unless I knew the previous owner and how well it was maintained.

FYI: about a month ago I payed $11250 for an 08 4cyl 2wd regular cab auto with 10480 miles.

I sold my 04 with 40k miles so I could buy my 06 that now has 71K on it. Neither has a lot of miles, the 04 just had really low miles.

I bought my 2005 DC last year for $14500 and it had 97k on it. Obviously, it was in excellent condition. I would have liked to get something with less miles, but I got what I could afford.

bought 3 with just over 100k on them. 2 were 4cyl. 4-rnrs., 1 a 4-cyl tacoma, all stick, all 4wd. guess i'm not too worried about buying a toyota with 100k +. trouble is, if a dealer has a nice one, they want top dollar +++. try to buy private, there's some good deals out there.

I bought a regular cab brand new for less than I could find a higher mileage DC here in CO. I didn't want anything over 50,000 miles and the price for a DC Taco like that was in the 25-28 range. One of the dealers around here was selling a 2 year old 80,000 mile DC Taco for the same price (almost exactly) that you can get a brand new DC Taco.

I got tired of looking and I have always been a sucker for Tacomas and regular cab trucks, so I bought one.

    I can't justify 15,000 bucks for a rig with 150k+ miles. That's ridiculous.

I paid $16400 for my 05 DC Sport with 67k miles. It has one ding in the rear bumper and shines like a new penny when washed. You can find good deals if you're patient.

When I saw the price of two year old Tacomas with 70k miles on them for $20k, I decided that for the first time in my 47 years of owning vehicles and always buying used with low miles (20k miles or less) that this was the first time ever that buying new made sense. So for $4k more, I bought brand new.

The price for used Tacomas is ridiculous, but they have a good reputation of being excellent trucks, and the demand for them is high.

My old 1993 SR5 was a good truck that got 19 mpg. I just made a trip in my new Tacoma that included lots of logging roads and some 4 wheeling, and was very pleasantly surprised at the 24.3 mpg that I got on that trip.

I bought a '07 TRD Off Road DC with 75K on it for 23K about a month ago. I had to get a new vehicle quick since my POS finally shat the bed. All the Tacos in my area are high in price, got my from the dealer I bought my wife's Matrix. The PO bought the truck there and had it serviced there the entire time.
My Mom's '87 4Runner has over 350K on the same motor and chasis, you take care of it and it will last

I got a 05 DC TRD sport 4x4 with 138k miles 8 months ago and now it has 143k miles.
I got it from a Naval Officer who was retiring about bought himselft a brand new 2011 but took great care of this one. Runs like a charm, no regrets...except we are thinking 3rd kid and it is currently for sale. Check my FS thread if that interests you.

Personally, if i had that kind of money to spend. I'd find a good looking first gen with a ton of miles, for real cheap. Have a new motor and tranny put in, along with just about every awesome mod you can do, and still have money left over.

I did. 164,000 kilometers when I bought it. 188 now, as good as the day I bought it. Test drove new, couldn't justify the extra 12 grand for a truck with less options.

It was a good price, from a family friend, never offroad and very well taken care of and literally only highway driven, it towed a trailer 2x.

Im also looking for a tacoma. i found a 2005 with 115000 miles and its a trd sport. They wanted 13 for it. I was also wondering how long these tacomas last for? Like 200k or 250
