I actually took my current position over two other offers offering about 10% more yearly in pure pay because:

    A) I knew I would like my co-workers and boss (I had interned with the company)

    B) Some of the bennies were sick for a starting position (company pays my health ins. premium - there's that extra 10% salary right there, 18 days PTO + 6 holidays yearly, good sign-on bonus, etc.)

Great job for less pay > more pay to eat shit for 40 hours a week. Money can help buy happiness, but it won't do you a bit of good if your income earning activity is based on suffering.

If you know you're going to like the job and can maintain whatever lifestyle you're expecting, go for it.
