No mud flaps, plasti dipped emblems, and rear bumper, Weather tech digital fit, Bed mat from tractor supply. Pioneer 4400BH head unit. B.A.M.F bed rail tie downs. AVS vent visors.
more importantly what kinda market would they target? the off roader who just wants more space and dose not mind stuff being out in the open?(that would be my guess as to who they would target) or the “average joe” that maybe hauling ATV’s or dirt bikes or anything els?...

"He also confirmed that Jeep will produce a pickup based off the next-generation Wrangler. The SUV is expected late-2017."

So is it a pickup or suv?

They may be referring to the "Next Gen. Wrangler" when talking about "The SUV".

Was it confirmed that the upcoming pickup will be based on the Wrangler platform? Because Jeep just showcased the Comanche concept with a chopped-up Renegade:

Ford calls the explorer sport trac a SUV, basically the same idea.

I don't know. Those two Jeeps have, "I'm overcompensating for something" written all over them. Just don't think I like the name "BRUTE" either. Seems like there was a nasty smelling cologne named Brute, wasn't there? Could be a great truck though. Be interesting to see some specs on it.

Problem is it's still a Jeep. I swear Chrysler's motto is "We bring reliability to new lows".

The more I look at the white Jeep I think it might be starting to grow on me. Then I look at it again and I just don't know.

Yeah, tell me about it. It is a concept though, but not a fan of that jeep comanche concept.

The jeep crew chief 715 concept is one badass looking truck though. That apparently has the 3.6L pentastar v6 and 5 speed auto.

I'd take the watered down, practical interpretation of that M715 homage in a heartbeat, especially if it'll go topless. That being said, that beautiful truck in the picture has 40" tires on 20" beadlocks... that's not what a production version would look like.

Also note that the picture in the original post is of the AEV Brute conversion on an existing Jeep Wrangler JKU. It's an 80k truck at a minimum, and not representative of what will be coming out of Toledo in 2017.

While I can't refute the reliability of the Tacoma, I also have to say that the new Pentastar engines in the current Wranglers are quite reliable. It's fun to call Jeeps unreliable, but that seems to apply more to the older models and is really an uneducated view of what's being built today. It's ok to love your Tacoma, but don't assume everything else just sucks, willful ignorance is no fun for anyone.
