When I got rear ended in '09 insurance paid the cost for the OEM replacement bumpers. I opted for an ARB front and Demello rear and lucked out. The ARB was less than OEM and the Demello rear war a bit over OEM. I ended up fronting the cost of the bumpers but after ins was paid out I paid about $200 out of pocket for an ARB and Demello. Tell your buddy to shop around and see if he can go aftermarket like ARB and get a solid deer masher for the front so he doesn't run into this again.

Think of it as an upgrade! Always gotta shed some light onto a crappy situation. Good looking truck otherwise, love the rims.

A idiot hit and run me this year in March, doing 45mph while I was at a dead stop. The bedside was trashed on drivers side and my cab was hit also. Luckily for me all his lights were working while he drove off and I got his license plate number. It was verified and the guy had insurance go figure. The body shop used all new Toyota parts, bedside, tailgate, floor, front of bed, bumper but used a aftermarket tail light assembly???. 10k in repairs when all was said and done. Thats not a optical illusion on the second pick. There was about a inch of space between back of tire and wheel well after I used a tire iron to create the space so it wouldnt rub.

Also, if you guys know anyone that wrecked the front end of their double cab and is interested in selling the cab and bed, let me know! I'm interested to buy.

Glad you're OK and the truck got fixed up, but there is no way in the world that that was a 45 mph impact.

I know its not considered a Tacoma but close enough. Coming home from work, hit ice, down an embanckment and head on with a tree. Was my first truck, had it 3 years and damn near had it back to looking brand new. :(

Diagnosis... Totaled. Frame was bent 3 1/2 inches in and would have been way over trucks value. Sold it for $500.00
