Pella is considering purchasing 6112s. Now you're scaring him off.

Go watch the music video again.

I have a "slightly" used set for sale haha

actually I have really enjoyed my 6112/5160 set up.

I am prob moving to kings and will sell this set when I get the replacement from Bilstein. But who knows... I might keep them just to give myself something to complain about.

It's too bad your 5 hours away. I might be interested. What are you asking for the whole setup and what does it include?

Im not sure. I was only half kidding about selling the set up but if someone were so inclined...

    6112/5160 and a deaver aal.

This is all contingent on getting the kings... and I have heard they are 1-2 months out. yikes

I'm thinking about this combo for my T4R. I'm really not happy with the harsh ride of my Taco's 5100's on the back roads.

I spoke with a Bilstein Rep at a show, and he seems to think the 6112's is the best bargain on the market, and suggested them over their new 8100 series.

I like the ride of my set up. I think for around 1000/parts its a good deal and solid set up paired 6112/5160

I thoroughly enjoy my set up - 6112s up front and Icons with Resi in the Rear - and was very reasonable, price wise, in my opinion. If I wanted to spend the 8100 cost, i would have to think i would go fox or something similar.

I will be making the decision here soon on my suspension. I think I'm sold on the 6112. Just not sure for the rears. I only want to go 2" in front and 1" in the rear. Why icon over the 5160? The cost is a bit more but what do you think overall? Extended? I will prob put an add a leaf for now.

5160s are valved complimentary to the 6112 is my understanding. Not sure how much difference that really makes.

Well to be honest, i spent months and months reading about it and when i pulled the trigger the 5160's were back ordered and i was feeling impatient so for a few more bucks they hooked me up and gave the the icons. i honestly havent done ALL that much research on the 5160's except they were paired with the 6112s but from my understanding they aren't much different than a 5100 with a resi.

As for the AAL - i decided for the time being to put a 1' block in the back(people will raise hell over putting blocks in the back but honestly if its only 1" it really doesn't affect your axle wrap etc.) as i didn't really want the firmness of the AAL and figure I will put in a new leaf pack on the next round of upgrades when i have a bit more money.

I have been pretty impressed with the setup so far - i havent had a chance to get in the technical stuff as i moved from the mountains to the beach but i have hit some pretty beat up beaches doing 50 mph or so and it handled well.

I installed my 6112's yesterday. The passenger 5160 was on back order so waiting impatiently to get it next week so I can put the 5160's in the rear. I put it on 6 and 5 up front. Selling my old Man Emu 2887's, Eibach Pro Shocks all four if anyone is interested.

@smitty99 Thank you for thw write-up! How do you like the ride so far? I'm really not liking the floaty/spongy rode of my 2016 Offroad (DCLB). Thinking of going 6112 front, 5169 rear. Lift height, only interestes in 2"+ so maybe notch #4 on the 6120 considerinf it will settle.

Just got quoted $890 to do this exact install from a local shop plus alignment. I am not looking for anyone to help me do this myself, but that just seems too high, no?
