Mine spike up to 200+ here in Az during the summer a lot. But from my testing that's the most accurate PID I've been able to make work. Glad you got it working, I like that layout a lot

Using the PIDs on page nine for 2010+, I got the screen shot below off my 2015 using an MX OBDlink dongle and torque pro.

Not sure why the one says (x100) for the needle when the digital alue appears correct, I'll play with it some.

Care to share the details of this. I really like the simplicity theme and those icons kill it

I'm just using digital gauges. I blacked out the backgrounds to them. I've also lowered the DPI of the phone to fit more of them on the screen. The display is only 3.5".

I only have one option for the roll and pitch to display, it's the image of the vehicle rather than a value representing degrees

I kind of had to hack those in there. I had to create a pid for them, add the digital gauge, then delete the pid for them to work. They're really sensitive anyways. Only really good if you're stopped on a hill/steep bank.

I just added these equations, tweaked my max values a bit, and had no issue on a '11 DCSB O/R. As several in here have mentioned, I'm also running an unconnected android phone in my truck full-time so I don't tie up my cell.

To the several members who tweaked these formulas, thanks.

Anybody have the custom PID'S for Trans temp 1 and 2 on a 07 tacoma. I got a new phone and forgot to save the equations, don't really want to scroll through 550+ comments.

    Thanks guys.

There are some changes that need to be made per truck but this should get you started. Page 10.

    For sensor 1 (Pan Temp):
    OBD2 Mode and PID:
    21D9
    Long Name:
    Transmission Fluid Temperature 1Short Name:
    TFT 1
    Minimum Value:
    0.0
    Maximum value:
    220.0
    Scale factor:
    x1
    Unit Type:
°F (there is a degree symbol in Torque)
    Equation:
    ((((E*256)+F) * (7/100) – 400)/10)
    OBD Header to use:
    left blank

For sensor 2 (Converter outlet temp):
    OBD2 Mode and PID:
    21D9
    Long Name:
    Transmission Fluid Temperature 2
    Short Name:
    TFT 2
    Minimum Value:
    0.0
    Maximum value:
    220.0
    Scale factor:
    x1
    Unit Type:
°F (there is a degree symbol in Torque)
    Equation:
    ((((G*256)+H) * (7/100) – 400)/10)
    OBD Header to use:
    left blank

I have a question and as of page 22 in this thread I have either missed it or not seen it addressed.

    '13 Taco 4.0L V6, BAFX ODB2 scan tool, Torque Pro 1.8.56, Samsung S5, Android 5.0

Without doing any configuration RPM & Speed are WAY off, but almost a factor of 2.

Is there something I need to do? I assumed I could basically plug & go and at least get basic readouts correctly.
I hesitate to do more if something that simple isn't displaying properly.

It worked for me to "delete display" and then create a new identical display inside torque for a couple odd ball errrors like NHGuy describes.

One of them was a tranny temp display ceated from a custom pid but maybe the third or fourth time i created the display it worked good.

Dunno why, downloaded my copy of torque in June 2015

Very interesting. Try clearing the cache/data of the app and try again. Make sure the preferences are filled out correctly.

If that doesn't fix it, try another BT adapter. The cheap china ones can cause all sorts of weird issues.

Thanks. Seems to be OK now. but the reason I wanted it was to calculated MPG for me and of course as it turns out we don't have a fuel sensor to do that for us. Or whatever it is that's needed.

Yup. You have to reset it each tank to get decent accuracy.

One questions though, how can you put the tranny into temperature mode and also view the tranny temperature using the torque program when they both have to use the same OBD2 port?

No need to put it in temp mode if you're viewing the temp.

Temp mode is to make the light flash at the right temp.

I know that dude, I was referring to TRDtacoHF statement about comparing the light flashing and the temperature using the
torque program. You can't run both at the same time I believe, and if he did how did he do it?

He's never came back saying he successfully did it. You can try it out and see if it works for you and let us know.
