The last update was August 29. I wouldn't worry just yet.

On the Android side? I only see November 15, 2019?

I highly recommend both 10 and 11. Killer updates, but avoid 11 if you want Torque to work. Hahaha!

I have other OBD apps, but Torque works best for me.

I still use a couple apps that won't fully work or at all on Android 10. I'd probably want to start fresh when I flash 10 or 11, but I'm too lazy to redo everything

I have been surprised how smooth the updates were, even the Betas. For the stuff that I have, I think Torque was my biggest setback? Definitely less of an issue than what Samsung did to me with their own apps when changing phones. S III to a Note 3. I lost a bunch of notes and other things that I could not get even screenshots from because of the busted screen.

That had me ditching all of the Sammy bloat and sticking with the Google apps anyway.

I think Gpay was down for a while on the 10 Betas?

I've had HTC phones mostly, then the original Pixel XL (also made by HTC). Now I have OnePlus. I haven't used GPay at all. I eventually find good replacements for outdated apps, but there are a few I've been using for probably a decade that would be difficult to let go of. I was using Torque on my HTC Incredible still running CM7 until I traded in my Taco nearly 2 years ago.

I had the OG Pixel XL also. I enjoyed the native Android so much more than than the bloat along with the faster updates. The back glass flaw got me as did the weaksauce battery. I would have replaced the battery if the back glass was not so problematic. 3 XL now doing very good 2yrs in. I want at least another year out of it and no more of this stupid launch day BS, esp after what they did with discounts almost immediately after.

My PXL was great actually, until it randomly died without warning a little after a year. From what I can determine, the built in storage crapped out. I bought a P3XL, but Google was having issues with their unlocking servers. OnePlus's OxygenOS is pretty much like stock Android with a few useful enhancements. I was also able to unlock it moments after unboxing it. I sent the P3XL back.

I made it 2yrs on the first one. Barely. I was getting only a few hours on a charge and caught a bunch of crap from the iOS horde at home about it even though they can't leave the house without a fray cable.

That is interesting. I believe both of mine arrived unlocked?

I bought directly from Google, so they aren't locked to a carrier. I mean unlocking the bootloader to root the phone. Google phones have to verify with a server to unlock. OnePlus doesn't require that (unless it's from T-MO).

    Same here.

I get you now though. I have yet to root an Android phone. For me, there was nothing about the OSs in general that I needed to mess with. Now, my earlier Blackberries were a damn mess without some ROM work.

I usually root for free hotspot and theming among other things. I couldn't understand why Google would release an AMOLED phone with a bright white and rainbow colored theme

Dark mode was huge for me. If I had half a clue a couple phones back, that would have been enough to get into rooting.

I keep wanting to enjoy a live wallpaper, but I run just plain black.

Torque has been fixed for Android 11.

Too much to list, but enough to get me in trouble. Repeatedly.
For the past ...I dunno, 8? 9? 7?... years I've been running Torque Pro on a really old Droid X, permanently mounted on my dash as a dedicated gauge display. Problem is, it's so old, I often lose my entire layout when I turn off the truck (also, the battery has looked like an overinflated balloon for years). So now that I'm upgrading my S7 to an S10+, I figured it was time to change out that old Droid X for a much newer S7.

Of course, that means I had to go back and dig through mountains of TW posts to find my trans PIDs.
And of course, after entering them, they're not working.

    Finally figured it out.

If you have a 2011-vintage and the readings are all over the place for the first one, and seem unusually high for the second one, that's because the very first entry on the PID is wrong. So are the letters, but that's easy enough.

Going back to post #523 on page 26, here are the corrections. (I am not copy-pasting it, as I am on my phone and my thumbs are getting tired).

Change "21D9" to "2182" for both PIDs.
    In the equation, change the E F G H letters to A B C D, respectively.

I got my sensors back, and everything is running just dandy right now.

I ran Torque on an old HTC Incredible for years. The battery in mine also ballooned a bit. Lucky, other than occasional random reboots, i had no other issues. I was thinking of using my OnePlus 6T in the future, but it has a sealed battery. I wonder if the back of the phone would come apart. The rear glass is already cracked (not shattered).

Does anyone know of a way to make Torque show up on an Android Auto headunit like the Sony XAV 5500?
