Anyone have ECGS send them the wrong bushing? Paid 60 bucks for their damn bushing and 17 bucks to ship it, and this is what I get. Doesn’t fit over the cv axle, and does not fit snugly in the diff carrier. Rattles around. They must’ve sent me a 7.5” one if I’m to guess. Pretty pissed off because my truck is apart and I kinda need it, so I just decided to overnight a Yukon one from Amazon so I could do it tomorrow. They’re a reputable company.

Correct me if I’m wrong, our trucks have 8” front ends, so unless I ordered the wrong thing on accident, they must’ve sent me the wrong part. Called them and left a message, but they’re closed for the weekend, and I can’t not have my truck for that long honestly. And don’t want to. I’ve attached my invoice, someone correct me if I screwed up, but I’m preeeety sure I didn’t. Thanks.

I feel like I've read another user having the same issue within the past week. That being said I won't be ordering one now....

Good call. I would just go with the Yukon or nitro one

    Sorry for your misfortune.

You kind of screwed yourself by relying on several people to not make any mistakes so that you could get your shit done just in time.

I got the correct one a couple of months ago but I remember someone posting just before that that they got the wrong one as well. So it sounds like it happens occasionally. The part # on your invoice is the same one I ordered

If you order something on the internet (on anywhere, honestly) and expect the part to be correct, the shipping to be on time and nothing at all to go wrong, you're setting yourself up for disappointment. It doesn't happen often, but it does happen eventually

So what should have OP done? Opened the box and measured the bearing to make sure it was the right size before he pulled it all apart? Stahp, OP didn't "screw himself"

That's one solution. Or not tear apart the front end of a vehicle that you can't be without for two days.

They have been nothing but professional with me when I have used them. As humans sometimes we make mistakes. Im sure if you called them they would have overnighted you whatever you needed.

Not taking away from ECGS’s product at all. They’re probably a pretty good company too. It’s just irritating when I order a part and I expect it to be the right part as I should, and notice that it’s the wrong part after the front end is taken part. Not much I could’ve done beforehand to determine whether or not it was the right one or not, unless I had a factory needle bearing or the actual 8” bushing.

i could’ve done without it for a couple days, but didn’t want to. Would’ve been more of a headache and didn’t feel like dealing with it. I would then have to try to borrow some family members’ cars which would interfere with other stuff too…

    Yeah, that sucks.

I mean I hope they at least give me my money back. I tried to test fit the bushing over the CV Axle to make sure I wasn’t going insane. It went past the c clip, but the splines seem to have scratched the inside part of it upon removal. They still sent the wrong part so I’m hoping they won’t give me trouble with it, but who knows these days.

People do make mistakes for sure, me included. I hope they’re reasonable about the situation though.

I'd be surprised if they didn't make it right by whatever way you choose. They are an honest company that I and others on here have dealt with many, many times.

Edit: Did you get a new oil seal? Having a spare on hand saved me when I changed this bushing on my 2nd Gen. They are cheap and usually available at either the dealer (~$13) or parts store (~$5)

ECGS has phenomenal customer service. It's an honest mistake and I'm 100% they'll do whatever they can, within reason, to make it right.

I didn’t this time around, I figured it would be alright. Didn’t impact or damage it in any way, so I should be good. Didn’t feel like spending any more money after buying wheels and tires, plus springs and the bushing lol. Unless you think it has a high rate of leaking, but I doubt it especially if I didn’t even take it out.

what the hell, maybe my dealer has one in stock. If they do, maybe I’ll do one, or maybe not. I don’t know. Do most of you guys replace them?
