Drive thru orders are sometimes mixed up, it happens. when you have a dietary need to have fried chicken and not that oven roasted stuff, its best to check the bag at the window. sometimes they fold the paper wrong and it reads crispy but nope, its that soybean glazed 'oven roasted' chicken that sucks the moisture from your tongue!!!

Hopefully you talked to them and gave them a chance to correct it, before complaining on the internet

I did, left a couple messages, but they’re out for the weekend it seems. Posted because it seemed a little out of the ordinary, though mistakes can happen. Wanted to see if anyone else has had the same thing happen to them, and it seems like it has. There’s a difference between making a couple mistakes and making them regularly. This post serves to bring awareness to it, though. Will admit I was a little pissed off when I wrote it… :D

I don't advise replacing them unless it's really old, damaged, or leaking. The one time I've helped someone with the bushing and they replaced the seal... that's when it leaked. I've replaced 5 others and left the old seal, and never had an issue.

I picked one up for peace of mind. Will be putting that in once the Yukon bushing comes in. I also have close to 80k miles on my truck so kinda makes sense at this point.

Ordered mine this week, arrived yesterday... this thread is stress I don't need lol. Is there a measurement I can make to see if it's correct?

You’ll probably be fine, but I would check to make sure. Someone here can hopefully chime in for the bushing diameter. I have my factory needle bearing, but don’t have anything accurate enough like a caliper to measure it.

I think everyone's made this mistake when working on any vehicle. It's how you learn. Before you put a wrench to anything assess what you wanna do and order the parts. Lesson learned. Don't be too hard on yourself like I said everyone's done it before.

Sucks they got the wrong part. When modifying your truck, things don't always go as planned. Don't have any advice except ECGS is a stand up company and would have overnighted the correct part come Monday.

I've installed over 20 ECGS bushings for TW members. The takeaway I get here is I'll be measuring the new bushing before replacing. Look forward to the measurements to be posted.

I've changed it all 3 times I've had the driveshaft out on these trucks because it cheap, it takes about 5 minutes to do if you have the right sized pusher (or piece of PCV pipe) and now you have a new oil seal. It's not common that they are damaged while removing the shaft, but it's just good practice to replace easy to get to seals/gaskets/etc whenever possible and the new bushing could potentially shift the axis of the driveshaft enough to allow a leak to happen if the oil seal was worn irregularly from a loose needle bearing.

Update: Left a couple messages over the weekend to ECGS, explaining the problem. I didn’t get a call back until I called them, they probably didn’t get to checking the answering machine, which is understandable because that’s probably a lot of calls and messages they have to listen to. Anyway, I just got off the phone with them. Super professional and helpful customer service. The rep offered to ship me out a new one, but I declined because I already have the Yukon one ready to install, just waiting to get a bushing driver tool from someone. I asked if they could refund me, and then they told me to destroy the bushing, then email them a picture of the destroyed bushing. That’s the first time I’ve had to do that haha. He said shipping charges would probably be too much and it would make sense not to go that route. Destroyed it, sent them an email, and then they refunded me fully, for shipping and everything. I can appreciate good customer service.

That being said, I wouldn’t hesitate buying anything from them in the future if I need to. A mistake is a mistake I guess, they happen. ECGS gets a good rating from me after they resolved the issue.

I would personally take the new one from ECGS and ditch the Yukon one. Nothing again the Yukon brand but literally everyone on here goes with ECGS and has good luck with them. I have about 30k on mine so far.

    That's a pretty big assumption?

I have the Yukon one as do a lot of folks. The situation was smoother right out of the box and have over 20k on it now with zero complaints. PTFE impregnated metal is not new tech, comparatively.

No assumptions in what I wrote... Read my second sentence. I'm only going by what I have read on here... I did hours of research before I did the needle bearing swap in my truck. I've never heard anyone mention it on here. Literally thread after thread after thread mentions ECGS. Seems like a no brainer to me.

Again, nothing against Yukon. I'm sure its the same damn thing.
