I was in Nebraska when St. Helens blew, and WE had shitty air. I can’t imagine how bad it is for everyone over there.

Y’all need a bad-ass rain dance or something.

 

It's terrible. There is hope for the westerly winds to come back next week and maybe some precip.

 

Rain is in the forecast for the Willamette valley so I hope we get some Monday or Tuesday. The fire is moving away slowly and the fire that was five miles away from us got put out this morning.

i watched the CNN reports, it looks like the smoke just sits above the ground and doesn't go anywhere

Yeah it's all the way forward in Rose's 2-tandem garage sleeping like a baby. The RX though, even has ash on the dash! I keep it garaged here at my place but soon as I go out, all that airborne crap flies in the doors. Really bad here. I feel real bad for the wildlife that has to breathe it 24-7 with nowhere to escape it. Haven't seen birds for days.

 

i was for a few years, i can remember very little of what happened before '83 any more

Reminds me of the dust storms we’d get in the Middle East. Brown sky, tan sun, and anywhere you were sweaty turning to mud.

 

Ha I remember it rained on us durning a dust storm. We were covered in mud
