wth are those black gutter weather whatever

what are those black rubber gutter things on top of the cab (dbl cab) because im missing one!!!

 

thats for if you wanted to install the cargo cross bar roof rack

 

that is where the roof rack attaches...

 

Toyota calls them roof ditch moldings.

 

guess i'll be ordering one of those non-sense parts

I had mine off to do the roof rack.

You'll find 2 plastic clips glued near the front and back. The rubber strip has grooves which the clips catch. The rear also has double sided foam tape on the bend. Then the very end slips under the rear glass weatherstripping.

A bit of silicone holds it in place if it's loose

 

they also come on the regular cabs- like mine..
only no one sells roof racks for reg cabs, or i can't find any..and i wondered how stupid that would look if i had one.

anybody have pics or have seen a reg cab with rack?
best thing i can think to do is get a bed rack that extends over the cab or get a topper and put a rack on that.

 

i hate these idiotic parts!!
