Out with the old and in with the new

    image.jpg

The new SSD has more memory then both of my old drive combined and is faster and was super cheap. Technology is cool.

Those are two 10,000rpm drives. Once cream of the crop...in 2008 haha had then in RAID1 and they died a few years ago. See if my windows machine comes back to life with this new drive

Nice dude! 480 is a nice ssd size. I just setup two 8 TB drives in our office NAS in raid1 for our "server" expansion. The drone makes a shit ton of data.

Our recording computer at Tippet has 8 1tb SSDs. Broken into two dual arrays and backing up eachother.

Any of you 2nd gen guys have any issues with your 4wd actuator?

I think Ty mentioned it to you Monte. He was having issues with it before, he got a used one off a diff from a junkyard and is having the same issue again.

Is there an underlying issue we should look into or is it just a string of bad luck here?

I have had problems. Mine has had water get into in the past. Also have a hell of a time when it's below freezing outside. I give it a few whacks with a hammer and it works again .

God I hate windows...What a pita just to get it installed..

It's pretty common I know sadly. Few guys on here have had issues.

Something to check possibly is the relay though. Mine was just dirty.

Yeah I remember you having issues after we did the gears lol made for a long day on the mountain.

I told him to just start hitting shit with a hammer, should work itself out eventually lol.

I'll pass the word along. I'd imagine drying it out then putting some marine grease in there to help keep moisture out may help.
