Is it just another long travel kit for 1st gens? 6 or 8 inches wider that stock.

 

They've already had the super long kit for the 1st gens for a long time. These are just beefy spindles. But I'll pass on D44 hubs, they're not great either.

 

Plus they will probably want a couple of grand for a set.

 

Eh, that's not so much the concern, even the other ones are a grand and change. It's what's necessary to make hand made parts viable on a low support platform

 

I don't want a solid axle. I have one in my Land Cruiser already, they're not conducive to go fast nonsense.

 

I wanna go fast.

I wonder if they will sell both still or only the D44 option. It is interesting point though, why? I do see a lot of toyota hubs blowing up.

 

They just easier to make custom axles for since d44 outers have kits to be adapted to anything

 

again though...why? The tundra cv axles are damn strong.

No they don't buy Im talking about this new spindle which is a replacement for any OEM tacoma/tundra/4runner. Stock or LT.

 

For you 2nd gen owners, is the 4wd switch supposed to have illumination on it or the positions it stops at?

 

I think it's just the usual faint orange glow

Not illuminated. There was a user here selling a small little device to illuminate it though...not sure if he still does or not

Reality though not so much.

Parts like that mean other parts are needed to make them work and the maintenance is important. And I get a hell of a lot more snow here than you do and colder too so working outside is...not reliable. Plus I have no flat ground outside to do that anyways.

Well, spring isn't terrible, actually my favorite. But still can snow till June. Really snows year round in the mountains honestly.
