My parents always ask how I have the money to buy this stuff. They don't seem to believe me that I live off soup and rice. Or that I buy clothes in bulk every year and a half . My sister thought I was broke cause I had no food in my house.

7th injector and tranny mod are next hitch. We are gonna try and do the lift and tires this week. Then he needs to Dyno the thing. I still think he will need to regear with the 34s. Plus it's a pig now haha

Hell yea dirty Annie's! And a geocache. Hopefully. I hope we can make it to copemans. Snow could be potentially too much but I have faith.

    Should be a great weekend!

Is there a nice way to get the flares off FRV? The clips don't seem to want to come out easy..

If you take out the fender lining you can see the clips that are holding them in. They break easily so if you are planning on putting the fenders back on you will have to be careful.

Haha yeah I just ripped mine out and it broke all but like 7 clips when all said and done. I just took a dremel to the fender liner clips and it was pretty simple. Let me know if you guys somehow support the rear fenders again. Mine are all floppy and I don't really like it.

Huh? I have no fender liner or fenders currently. I meant the bed sides. They have support pieces I took off when I cut them up.

O right I forgot he wasn't going with 35's. You might have trim the little lip on the inside. That's all I would have had to do but I decided to cut it the same as the front so the fenders look uniform when I finally get those back on.

Alright so I can actually use some help on how to begin designing some new fenders the actually cover the damn tires .

I have been thinking Kydex for a long time as its popular with making holsters for guns. Seems a bit on the steep side of price however. I could mold it so it went flat against the inside of the fender wheel and use the shaved clips like I have now to hold it in place. If you found a big enough sheet for cheap you could keep molding it into a fender liner even.

Again, with the polar taco. Same idea but i have no idea if they went with a metal or plastic. It looks like plastic but might be sheet metal with bed liner :notsure:.

You won't design shit you lazy bastard.

But just get so,e UHMW like 1/16" and shape it with a heat fun and bolt it in.

Personally that looks retarded to me..

    Plus..

If you want full fenders to cover again. Get smaller tires :p or get glass fenders bedsides.

Haha I don't want glass. I think the super wide look is dumb. I have seen some tacomas with it and meh. Overall I am more interested in covering up the wheel well. I do hate that I throw mud into the cab now with the windows down but its livable. If I could just have a small bit of coverage Id be happy. I don't need them sticking out that damn far.

I am pretty damn lazy but I would like to clean it up a lot more. This issue is probably similar to you not taking those stupid small mudflaps off :D. I saw a jeep guy use a little bit of kydex to cover the front of his slider and that looked and worked pretty good.

Maybe once I put the old flares back on it will be just enough to keep me happier...

Smaller tires are not an option btw :D. No way could I go back now.

No going back for sure haha

Well I was going to do the UHMW thing. Ill show you the thread I made asking about making inner fender shields for glass.

Putting the old flares on will give you 2" of coverage..should help. Or 1.5" or something.

But doing that thing where the inner shields stick out wider is way way worse then any fiber glass fender.

And I like my fiber glass

My dad is considering it right now instead of cutting his metal ones..
