Xbox 360 disk tray sticking

The tray on my xbox 360 is having a very hard time opening and closing. Any tips before I go rogue and try taking it apart?

 

Take it apart and replace it or clean/lube up everything.

 

I will probably try, just hope it still works when I'm done

 

It's an Xbox 360, I'm shocked it hasn't RROD yet.

 

I've kept it clean, and not connected to the internet. I'm convinced that manufacturers will "update" things to death. Unfortunately the disc drive is shot. Looks like I might have to get an xbox one. But all my games are 360.

 

You can change the drives on those fairly easily. I remember reading something about having to solder a daughter board but it's only 2 nubs. Just don't recall if it was for the disc drive or not.

I haven't brought out my S in a while, but been wanting to play Midnight Club lately so hopefully it still operates lol.

 

I still have my 360 my dad bought it new for me when the second 360 style came out mine still runs strong and the old minecraft tutorial map and tf2 is nostalgic

 

Got the disk out, but I'm afraid she might not run again

 

Just buy another 360 theyre dumb cheap
