Xbox 360 RED EYE

How many have gotten it?


Ive had my 360 since it first came out. I was the first 50 or so NEVER had the RED EYE

 

I sold my 360 a while back to one of my buds, but I got the "red ring of death" (the 3 sections) when i had it and had to send it off but it was covered under warranty so no big deal other than time without it

 

ive had red ring of death and now my power supply stays red.... is that what your talking about

 

Thats what I meant. Alot of different anmes for it

 

yea man at fist i just had to switch the spot where i plugged it in the wall try a different socket it or something. Mine now though just stays red but if i dont have it plugged into the xbox its yellow look at this http://support.microsoft.com/kb/906101

 

I got my "red eye" on friggin Xmas day 2008!!!! Just started playing Rockband 2. It was repaired free even though it was out of warranty.....they sent me a new/refurbished one.

My son's Xbox in his room is a newer one & it got 1/4 of "red eye" (error 74)a few weeks ago & it was repaired......no new/refurbished one.

 

Me too, had it since launch...but have gotten the Red Ring of Death 3 different times. I slapped the shit out of it, and it came back to normal.

When the machines rise up to kill us all, I'm gonna slap the shit outta those robots too; show them who's boss.

 

i can fix the RROD. its so much easier than you think....but since microsoft extended the warranty you might as well send it in. Mine was modded so i couldn't.

 

Thats just amazing I have never had the red eye

It happened to mine also. Was fixed in 2 weeks under warranty.

 

Im on my 4th xbox but they have all been covered under warranty so its all good....

 

Well thats good to know that Microsoft will take care of it. Without any problems

 

Had mine for just over a year and had 2 lights come on. Called xbox and they said it would cost a 100.00 i told them to f- off wrote a letter to the BBB and xbox called within a week and said they review my claim and told me to they will send me a box to ship it in. They repaired it and sent it back. 3 months went buy and then it happenened again called them up and they sent me a box to ship it back and said they will send me a new one. Got the new one and they sent me a new controller as an added bonus. Still works a year later.

 

I got it about 4 months after purchasing xbox 360, xbox replaced it under warranty. Havn't had a problem since then. But at least 7 of my friends have had to send theres in also. If it's out of warranty and your going to take it apart I believe there is something you can do. pm me and i'll research it and ask friends.

i am on my 6th xbox but only 2 red rings of death on time freezing up on games
one of the red rings was before they extended the warranty to 3yrs and my new 360 is the elite for the bigger harddrive and better cooling so now i have one just for my truck for the kids to play and one at my g/f house for when she is cooking and i am bored

 

No Ive never had the red ring..... EVER. 6 years of owing the same 360. NONE

I havent hooked up Xbox Live yet though

 

how have you had the xbox 360 for 6 yrs it came out in 3rd quarter 2005 you must mean you have had the original xbox ....... not to be a dick ...... just saying

 

Got rid of my 360 but for some reason couldn't play it without playing online, all that campaign shit bores the fk outta me
