I noticed a shake in my right light a couple days after install, after some off roading trips, both of them have the shakes and it seems like it's getting worse. It's really starting to bother me now. Love the color of the Phillips bulbs though, just the right amount of white light without any blueness to them but the shake is horrible as it's right in the center of my vision and you can't not notice it now. I might try some morimoto bulbs but I heard some people have shakes with them as well.

I've had a couple sets of $40 DDM tuning hid kits before and they were very solid for being so cheap. They didn't have any shakes and this was on a 2500lb Miata with f700lb/r450lb springs on coilovers that rode pretty stiff.

I have the Philips HID kit from Xenon Depot and it just started the shake/bounce this last couple of months. The kit has been installed in the truck since January. I even tried switching the o-rings from my stock halogen bulbs and it made no difference. I used to run GTR Lighting gen 3 LEDs, the output is not as good the Philips kit but at least it doesn't have that annoying bounce with every bump you hit.

Send me a PM with your order info so that I can send you a new set of o-rings that are going to be thicker.

Sorry to hear that you are also having this issue but please feel free to send us a PM as well with your order info so that I can help you with this.

PM sent. I'm really wondering if o-rings are the issue here though..have you heard of any other shake/bounce issues with your non philips bulbs?

More than happy to try out thicker o-rings though and figure out what causes the bounce.

Saw that the color temperature drifts on the Philips lamps after about 100 hrs of use from 4300K to 4700K. Makes me wonder if there also a light (lumen loss) that happens with the drift. Thinking of going with the stable 5,000K lamps once I am comfortable with the bounce issue.

I have had my bulbs for well over 100 hrs at this point and while I don't have any scientific evidence, I can say there is no loss in brightness, they are still the best everyday use purchase I have made for my truck.

Thank you for the feedback. Read a review that has me now leaning towards the Phillips 43K lamps

The flicker is typically a result of having increased light output right at the cutoff. Having a thicker grommet will make the bulb fit "snugger", but if there is any vibration in the projector itself the grommet will not help. These are the brightest bulbs in the market, so if you're going to see any shake you'll notice it with these.

That's what's great about the rebased Philips HID bulbs is that they color shift to 4700K after about 100 hours of usage without any loss of light output.

Couldn't get XenonDepot to send me a new HD O ring, so The Retrofit Source is sending me a pair of their H11 HD O ring. I should have them tomorrow.

I also installed the thicker blue o-rings Xenon Depot sent to me today, went for a drive tonight and still have the shake with the 4300k Philips HID bulbs.

Or maybe a much easier solution..just use different bulbs.

    Too easy.

Which HID bulb brand are you thinking that might not have the bounce? Thought the same to go with a different bulb.

If I recall correctly, Xenon Depot told me it was only the 4300k bulbs that have reports of shaking. I'll go back to my LEDs I already have if there is no solution to the shake. Not going to spend another $150 for bulbs lol.

@XenonDepot has the shaking issue been solved? I was planning on upgrading from my DD LEDs
