xm radio help please!

got a 2010 w/xm capable. jus installed the receiver/tuner and hookd up harness and pluggd n 2 antenna installed already. called xm, gave radio id paid , but all I still get after 2 days of tryn is channel 001,000,247 on head unit. whats wrong, do I need to match tuner with head unit? Oh and by the way the tuner was a toyota part ,not after market. please help.
