Hopefully the reception will get better in the future. It cuts out too much near hills and redwood trees esp. the Russian river area.

Once that crap ran out, I never renewed. Used it maybe a total of 5 times during the trial period, and I was only really interested in a few channels, and I still had to put up with a few decent songs surrounded by shitty songs I hated. Why would I pay for that, when I already own my iPod, an aux cable, and have a 1,000 song playlist of JUST 5 star rated songs, not to mention all the random albums and such that I have on there.

Mine just stopped after a year and a half :(

Obviously I can't complain having it so long for free but I am starting to miss it. Now trying to decide if I should pay for it or not. Though listening to my own CD's has been fun. Haven't done that in ages.

I don't like it enough to pay for it. When the free trial expires I will not renew it.

Once I got the Bluetooth audio working I never looked back...Pandora gets me by when the radio becomes unbearable. Plus I am single handedly trying to make sure cd's never go the way of the dinosaurs :)

Maybe its my crap phone, Samsung Vibrant, but I am having a hard time getting it to work on the bluetooth in my Tacoma... I like the idea of Pandora over the BT, so I am trying that out, but having trouble getting it hooked up!

Kept it as I commute in canyons where radio is not consistent. I rely on it for talk radio/news.

Unfortunately, my 3 month trial ended at 3 months. I subscribed to the Mostly Music package for $10/mo. Someone posted on here a come back web link that showed a discount. I immediately cancelled my subscription and then tried the link. Got 6 months for $25 for the Select package. I suggest trying this if you are paying full price. You certainly don't have to.

some of this, a little of that
We have it on my wife's car and it is meh, I don't see us paying to continue it. When I get by her work the office building and trees cause a loss of signal, going under bridges also causes the signal to be lost. I think we will just stick with the iPod and local stations.

I only listen one local station, and there is only one talk radio show worth listening to from 0530-1000 each morning...

Pandora and Stitcher App is a suitable replacement for me. I cant say that I enjoyed XM all that much as I dont spend that much time in the truck. I do continue to get letters from XM tho.

Over-the-air radio reception in southern California is awful with all hills and valleys. Additionally, if you listen to broadcast radio you have to put up with mindless DJs and nonstop commercials.

I'd rather pay a few bucks to avoid the commercials. With satellite radio there is a variety of stations I enjoy. Sometimes the signal cuts out going under a bridge but that's the only complaint.

Didn't think I'd listen to it as I have favorite local stations, but free for 3 months and listened to it quite a bit. Once that ran out, I didn't renew because of what they were asking for it, but got it activated last week for half what they were asking.
I have a long drive to work and go back home (2hr drive) regularly, so worth it for me. There's always something good on.

Within the first week of owning my new truck the XM telephone marketers were on me numerous times per day, drove me nuts to the point I had it cancelled and was gone before the first 2 weeks was over. They seem pretty desperate. I have had Sirius before, it was OK at best, not worth the price unless you live in a remote area where it might be hard to get regular radio. Where I live there are tons of radio stations, plus with ipods and CD players there is so much variety I don't even think XM. Many times just the sound of that 4.0 is enough music for me anyway.

I let it expire. They called me a few weeks later, and I talked with them for thirty minutes, acting interested, then turned them down. They called me back in a week with a half price offer. I took it. But I wonder how low they would go. Maybe I should have held out for one more week.
