XRC 10 Smittybilt - need help with solenoid box

    I am finally building up my 2003 X-Cab Taco with 3" Toytec coilovers, OME Dakar rear leafs w/ the 5125 Bilstein shocks, and an XRC 10 winch on an ARB bumper. Unfortunately I've hit a road block at the very beginning. If I were to install the winch solenoid box per the instructions, it would end up inaccessible inside the bumper, not allowing for plugging in of the hand remote for winch operation. Does anyone have any relatively uncomplicated suggestions of alternate places or methods to install the box? Thanks for any help/suggestions.
