Picked up my truck back in October of 2014.

This is not too long after I bought her:

First thing I did was got the bed lined with Linex:

Then after four months of waiting for Leer to get my truck cap right (had to order four), I finally got the one I wanted:

Installed bed lights in my cap that I ordered from Matt Gecko, which I couldn't recommend enough. He does a great job and he ships fast. The install doesn't take that long and if you have a garage it makes it a hell of a lot easier to feed wires under your truck:

    Other Mods:

    Pop'N'Lock on the tailgate
    Plastidipped all the badges black
Installed a holster in the center console

    Coming Soon....

    Duratrac Tires
Powder Coat the wheels Anthracite Grey
    Weathertech floor mats

$444.00. I got the most basic Linex they have I believe. They're best stuff would have cost somewhere over $600

Why would you line-x a composite bed?

I bought my truck pre owned, and who ever owned it prior was a painter. I got paint splatter everywhere in my bed. I inquired here and was told lineX was the best, maybe down the road. It is a good chunk of change to spend on lining though, so will see.

They remove the composite bed and spray directly to the metal. The only part they don't remove is the one on the tailgate.

The bed is made of composite material. There is no metal for the bed itself. Crawl under and look. It's black composite.

What you picture is the composite bed, sprayed with line-x.

    So again, just curious why?

Doesn't get marked up when I put things in the bed, easier to clean, looks great, get touch ups for life, things don't slide around as much, and oh did I mention it looks great!

I think I recall that thread. You're looking for a cosmetic repair.

Put a bed cover over it and forget it. ;)

Only refinish the sides, and use a bed mat for the floor?

If you want to refinish it all for some particular reason, consider a DIY with Monstaliner www.monstaliner.com. It makes a great finish.

It does look nice. Can't imagine being easier to clean than the composite, composite doesn't need touching up, and a bed mat ($90) will keep anything from sliding.

    Well, enjoy. Thanks for explaining.
