I usually just get the riding ass crap from mostly Chevy full sized people but any of the full size trucks as if to say get a real truck.

Some people used used to bug me about my Matrix being a rice burner..I would tell them it was made in Cambridge Ontario along with the Corollas and built by Canadians only a 1.5 hour drive from here.

Honda civics are also built in Alliston Ontario...about 2 hour drive from here.

Sold my 93 Dodge cummins to buy my California made Taco...the Dodge was built in Mexico!!

My Tundra was built in Indianna.

The Chevy Cruze is essentially a re-badged Daewoo Lacetti:

    http://www.thetruthaboutcars.com/2010/07/review-2011-chevrolet-cruze/

People need to get this shit through their heads: We live in a global economy now. Where a multi-national corp. originated or is headquartered is meaningless.

    As others have said:

That is hilarious! I work for a GM dealership, and all my co workers give me shit for driving a Toyota. I say, "oh, I am sorry that my tranny dosent blow up, trans cooler lines leak all the time, my camshafts need to be replaced due to a ticking noise, my case half's leak, transfer cases blow up. I'm sorry for liking quality!" they are either made in Switzerland, Germany, Canada, And Mexico. They car that is MADE in America is the corvette! Got one of those? Then STFU!

    Still trying to decide...
NEWS FLASH: Every car maker makes their cars from parts, parts that come from several different companies in several different countries... what you need to ask is what is most important.

To me it was that last guy/girl tightener that lug nut or placing that TRD sticker on the a$$ of my Taco, that person living in San Antonio TX (can't get any more USA then that) who is working hard and able to pay their mortgage and be proud of making a great product.... that 2000 miles away in Iowa I jumped in in was was excited drive and buy!

    that's F@#$ckn' american made boys!

Reading this thread reminds me of a little conversation I had with some coworkers a few years back. We started talking about guns, and I told them about my budding Milsurp rifle collection. I tell them about my wartime capture Mosin Nagants, WW1 Lee Enfields, Romanian & Yugo made AK's and others. I tell them about their history and the timeless, brilliant mechanical concepts that make them relics of the very history that led us to the world of today. Their only response? "Buy American."

They were treated as the lowest common denominator after that exchange. "Did you see the race on Sat?!" "Nascar? Yup. That left turn was thrilling! I'm gonna go home, drink piss beer and hit my wife now. a-yup."
