Let me first start off by saying if this has been covered I apologize. I searched for it on here and I have read about it for 2005 to 2011 models but nothing on 2012+. So if its on here already I'm sorry for creating a new thread about it.

I have found the laminx stuff and then the spray can stuff supposedly at Micheals (I can not use the spray can stuff due to shipping it to Germany is an issue). I have however found kits on ebay that have yellow lenses in them. My question is has anyone used these kits and if they have do they use the same wiring harness. All the kits on ebay are listed with 2 fog light assemblies with yellow lenses, a wiring harness, and a switch. I don't want the hassle of messing with a wiring harness.

Then I have read about yellow bulbs and it seems the 2012+ uses a h11 bulb where as 2005 - 20111 uses a h10 bulb. I saw where one guy posted for the h10 bulb to use 45w and nothing higher because you will have melting issue and the lowest I have came up with in h11 is a 55w bulb.

I want the yellow lighting for purpose not just to have yellow light for the heck of it.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I have yellow fog bulbs in my 2013 that are quite yellow. I am on my second set unfortunately.

My first set was made by Nokya, H11, 55w. They lasted approximately 11 months. I daily my truck and a lot of my commuting is pre-dawn, post-sunset so they got a lot of use. I paid approximately $20 for them on Amazon. One point of interest on the Nokya bulbs is that I swapped the OEM bulb gaskets onto the Nokya units as they Nokya supplied bulb gaskets were known to be quite poor.

My second set is from Hella, from their Optilux line. These aren't the old style made in Germany units, unfortunately and what I've read about them is they're not the same quality as the older units. They're also H11, 55w and are quite bright/yellow. I am curious to see how long they will last. I'm not convinced they will last much longer than the Nokyas, but again at the $20 price point on Amazon, it wasn't the end of the world. I did not switch gaskets for these bulbs, but I'm carefully watching my housings for moisture. I did retain the old OEM gaskets from the Nokyas prior to tossing them.

If these blow quicker than the Nokyas, I may break my self-imposed no HID in reflector assembly rule and test out a set of lower-end 3500K HID to just see how bad they glare. I don't have high hopes, but at a low price-point, it can't hurt.

Hope this gives you a little to work with.

and with the 55w bulbs you don't have any melting issues?

    Go with vinyl overlays!

These are the same ones I got for my focus and they worked great and actually made the light yellow and not lemonade colored.

I have a spare one, I will go see if it's big enough to fit.
----EDIT: Yes they are big enough

here is what they look like: left side is overlay with 3000k hid. They look much more yellow if you use a halogen bulb. I went back to halogens and that is what is in the car right now.

No, The OEM bulbs are OSRAM 55w H11s, made in Germany. It's no wonder I was surprised how excellent the bulb output was.

Try to find a yellow LED light. They are brighter and run cooler. TAP is getting a bunch of these soon but they are probably still a month out.
