I was parked in a parking garage for about 5 hours when I got tagged in a hit and run. Police have started an investigation (not expecting to hear anything) and I'm heading to the insurance office tomorrow. I hate people.

That sucks. Any cameras in the parking garage? Hopefully the cops will be able to find something to send them to the jackass that did it.

Only cameras are at the entrance and exit. Since the time I was parked was pretty short they think they might find something.

Time for a dash cam with battery backup and motion activation.

After all these years, it still amazes me how shitty people can be and not own up to their mistakes. Hit and runs are some of the worst cases since it's obvious they don't care.

Reminds me of when someone backed into the rear hatch on my 4Runner and didn't leave any information. Insurance paid for it but I had to shell out the $500 deductible on it. $4900 later (well, $4400 for insurance) I had a new rear hatch with a shitacular paint job and orange peel out the ass (Toyota of Berkeley).

I feel your pain. Something so emotionally invested in being damaged sucks.

I just put a gopro in my Taco , I keep it on most of the time. You might have caught a glimpse of the license or the cops could have matched your video with the parking garage video. Ask the cos if you can have 5 minutes ina locked room with them.

Definitely going to be looking at going aftermarket for the replacement bumper (expedition one, pelfrey). the revtek light bar mount actually held up pretty decent. Hoping insurance doesnt give me too big of a run around on it.

How can a person hit something that hard and not stick around to own up to it? With the camera seeing entry and exit, they can find the time you entered and going forward to the time you discovered the damage and watch the exit camera. Any vehicle that has damage to the front or rear will be the ones to bring in for questioning. I hope they get the sorry POS, but even if they do, chances are they don´t have insurance or money to cover it. Sorry OP.

Flowmaster dual exhaust, Cali raised front bumper grill LED light bar, Bak industries X2 Tonneau cover, Full HID head lights and fogs, LED's throughout inside and outside of truck, OEM roof rack, OEM side steps, bed extender...
Look on the bright side, looks like the hood, fender, grill and head light are undamaged. Maybe you can find a bumper from someone on here who replaced theirs with an off road one. Reporting it to insurance will leave a paper trail if you ever want to sell it in the future :/. I am sorry though, same thing happened to me in Vegas in my Avalon. Caught the guy though luckIy.
