Then I'm glad I also avoided ridge grapples. Lol. I read alot of bad reviews for those and snow.

Does anyone have any experience with these Geolanders vs Grabber X3's? My tire shop is quoting me about the same price for either. Im in SoCal and planning to use it for offroading around here with some street use (not my DD). Looking at 35x12.5R17.

I've got a little over 32,000 miles on my 265/75r16s and they still have some life left. I think I could probably stretch them out to a little under 40,000 but am planning on swapping them out for something around Black Friday. I would ride them into the ground but we are heading up to the snow this winter and I don't want a set of MTs near the end of their lives for that.

All in all, I have been really happy with these. They have gotten pretty loud in the last 4-5,000 miles, but, from what I understand, that's typical of a "higher mileage" MT. Traction and handling haven't really changed, the wear has been even across the tread on all 4 tires, and I've had no issues with re-balancing them.

All that being said, I am most likely going with an AT for the next set as, even though these have been great and look badass, 99.9% of my time is on the highway and MTs are wasted on me.

I had a great experience with them last winter. they just wore pretty fast, on ice they sucked but hey its not a studded snow tire.

I’ll try that out right after I get this fixed. It’s been hanging out for a couple of weeks waiting on a replacement to come in.

Right now I have them set exactly the opposite and the ride is much better than before. No chalk test yet though.

Was out messing around in mud and slushy snow today and the geolander just ate it up. No issues at all getting around, feel like my old ko2s would just be slipping but the deep treads on the yokos were just ripping thru everything with ease. 8k miles in and I’ve had zero complaints with these

    Just miles
I saw some on a Ford when I was out riding my bike. I was considering skinny’s but after seeing some in person I knew I wouldn’t put them on my truck. I know the Tacoma is smaller than an f150, but I know I don’t like skinny now.

Hey man. Are you using wheel spacers with these tire and wheels? CMC? Any rubbing? I have the same wheels and a TRD OR. Thinking of this tire and size along with a roughly 2" lift / JBA UCA's.

Any updates on the tire itself?

    Thanks.

No spacers and no CMC. The only time I've noticed any rubbing is when I've got the wheel fully cut over to one side or the other and hit a bump.

I'm right at about 30k on the tires now, mostly highway but they've seen plenty of time on the trail as well. I was never expecting to put a bunch of miles on them so quickly but plans change. I'm thinking I'll end up replacing them in the spring. I have no real complaints other than they have gotten louder over time and the vibrations in slow turns that you get w/ a mud tire. They still look awesome and I still get a lot of questions/compliments on them. They are great on the trails out here in Colorado and fine in the highway. All in all I am happy w/ the purchase.

Got a set installed this past weekend in 285/75r16 flavor. Really wanted to go 315s but don't really have the coin for gears right now. Had to do a little trimming at the back of the front flares, and still need to do a bit more. Only put about 75 miles on them so far but happy so far.

This thread was the catalyst for me. I picked up a set of 295 70 17 on Sat. They are smoother and quieter in comparison to the 265 75 GY Wrangler MTRs. They replaced.
Going on a trial ride on Sunday, can't wait to see how they perform.

Here is my part 2 CMC/ Fender Trimming to fit these in case anyone is curious.

Please report feedback from the trail run! I might be ordering a set soon. I need a little more encouragement. :D

I had very good luck with their AT and HT on my previous 4runner. Looking for more beef this time!

how do people feel about these in regards to snow, ice, general winter duties? I want to order a set in 285/75/16 but am concerned with the winter traction. On my toyotas, I have always ran a hybrid tire like the wildpeak at3w, cooper st/maxx, and dick cepek trail country exp. All have performed well for winter duties, the St/maxx being the best. I had toyo open country MTs on my last f150 and they were a little sketchy on wet and winter driving. I had weight in the back and detroit truetrac as well. I believe it was due to the lack of siping and the very hard tread compound.
