Well, the good thing is that Tacos have awesome resale value. So, if you ever want to switch, you might not lose much.

I took a hit because I put 57K miles on the Taco in the time I had it. But, it was worth it to get what I wanted.

That said, I'd love to have both!

Yeah, that's the main reason why I got the Taco is for resale value. Especially right now, but unless the next gen Tacoma knocks everyone's socks off.. I will probably keep mine forever.

Ahh got it! Hows the rub etc with the -10 offset? I'm running -38 and i'm pretty sure if i want to move up to 35s in the future i'm going to need to swap out to less aggressive offset.

Also -- how'd the auburn discount tire do in terms of mounting the wheels/scratches etc?

The grady way renton one seems to never be able to properly mount/dismount the -38mm offset wheels and after having them fail twice i've just completed ruled that location out for future business

-10s dont rub at all with 35s after the trimming I did prior. But I also havent flexed it enough to know for sure. -38 offset will definitely rub like a mofo haha.

I always go to either Federal Way or Auburn discount tire and never had any issues with either one. Highly recommend either one.

Yokohamas all just went up in price now that they’ve established themselves.

my 35x12.50r17s were $264 when I had the shop order them. When they arrived the price went up to $367 a tire!!! Luckily I screenshot the original price and they honored it.

If you hesitated on buying these y’all just missed out on amazing price for a badass tire.

FUCK! I was going to order some when I needed tires. I bought the Nitto’s a year ago and once they were done I was going to try out the Yoko’s because of the reviews for one and two the price was $400 cheaper but now they are more expensive lol

Yup I almost went with the stt pros but they were too expensive but discount said they’d price match. But when they showed up the yokos ended up being more expensive due to price change haha.

    I guess I got lucky.

I have just ordered a set of 285/75/17 G003's through @Discount Tire as well. However, I am not sold on this size completely. I have a regeared first gen with 285/70/17's and not sure if I should have gone with the 285/75/17, 295/70/17, or 33x12.5x17 G003? All three are more than appropriate for the off-roading that I use my truck for....which is most impressive to run since they have around 1" height to 1.5" width difference between the three sizes?

Weight is fairly similar between them all, I guess it just comes down to whether you want a wider tire or not. All the sizes you list will look great. I think the 285/75 that you chose will look really good. I currently have 295/70r17, love them, but might go with a 285/75 next round just to try a different size/ratio. People can advise you all they want but I don't think you really know what a tire is about until you've put a few thousand miles on them.

I agree, it is all the same weight wise just not sure if more height or width will yield any problems. I think im leaning toward the 285/75, even though I would love a real big tire. I wish they were made in a 305/70/17 to compromise all aspects.

I think typically is the width that makes it more difficult to fit (of course there are tons of variables that go into this). I run the 285/75/17 (34") of the yokos and i'm a big fan, they seem to be the perfect size for my application
