    A few bolts are different.
If it runs as good as it looks, you possibly added a lot of resale value to that rig if you were to ever let it go. I bet it starts and runs like a rabbit the first couple cranks.

naw, it'll have to circulate some oil through everything, then it should run like butter.

    Looks amazing!

Thanks for the vote of confidence guys. I'm very happy with how it looks, still have anxiety about how well it will run. It ran pretty damn good when I pulled it out, but I would like to see the compression numbers get back up at least to 150 or so & no oil leaks. I guess we will have to see. I hate oil leaks!

yep, I'm no fan of oil leaks either. It drove me nuts that my axle was puking gear oil from the seals when I bought my truck. I rebuilt the front axle and its good as new. Other than seepage(sp?) at my valve cover I'm oil leak free. Even that is about to get fixed though. As soon as my Marlin clutch gets here the engine comes out for new timing kit and clutch, maybe new water pump and all around tune up.

While putting it back in was a major pain, it was def. a cleaner job than taking it out was.

LOL, not as much as you would think, about $300-350. I really only fixed what was broken or on it's last leg. I say that I have way more time wrapped up in it than I do money. I am very fortunate to have all of the resources that I have & they saved me a bunch of money. All of the nickle & dime stuff cost me the most, stuff like belts & hoses. The complete gasket set with new head bolts cost me $75 from ENGNBLDR & the LC Engineering timing chain set was $100.

The ground we where laying on is still filthy from when we took the motor out. I guess I should have gotten you a towel to sit on, I thought you where going to sit on your jacket?

I have a new goal to have this bitch rolling by this friday night, I hope to put it to the test next weekend. Looks like I have another week of late nights & no sleep to look forward to. I do my best work under pressure, well see how it goes.

Sorta, I need to hook up the motor, do some brake work & get the trans flushed. I already put a new master cylinder on but I haven't bleed the system yet. I am really only hoping that the master cylinder was the problem, no telling what I will find when I start bleeding them. I should be able to get it all done as long as I have the time I need to do the work. The problem is that I never get started in the evenings untill after I put the kids to bed around 8:30. Juggling the family time cuts into my progress.
