here are a few pics of the stuff that broke this past weekend

Idler arm, very loose on both ends, not sure how this happened.


Bumper brackets, you can see that the bumper is fine, but the mounting brakets folded like a bitch.

 

Damn, I would have thought Alto is where you would of broken something, Not BVORR.

 

I did get some more work done to my CB & gauges, they are all wired up but still not functional, I still need to run the coax & mount the Antenna for the CB & run the sending units for the oil pressure & water temp gauges to the motor. They do however light up when I turn the head lights on



Also I wired up this old Sun-pro mini tach that I had lying around, It is completelly wired in and functional.

 

The bumper brackets never had a chance at survival. I am looking into my options for a new bumper, might take you up on that piece of pipe.

Thanks, it actually looks better in person, I took the pics at night & they don't really do it justice.

 

I figure that interior work is cheap & will keep me busy while I save for that lockright. I found one on E-Bay from Just Differentials for $290.

I still need to run the coax & mount the antenna, been too damn busy to do anything lately. I honestlly don't expect to get anything done on the 4runer untill next week.

 

It's goinig to wheel like a beast! I am looking at my options for a rear bumper also since mine is crap. Thinking about ditching the plastic fillers on the rear quater panels & fabing a wrap around bumper out of square tubing. Plain Jane simple, but strong.

 

Oppinions needed. Aussie locker, Lock right or Spartan locker? They all LOOK pretty much the same & price wise are with in $25 of each other. Is one any better than the other or is it just which ever I can get the best deal on?

 

no opinion on which one is better, but Todd had the Lockright, didn't he? seemed to work great for him..

 

Yes, TK has a lockright. It did work great. People seem to love them & the Aussie lockers. Sean just bought a Spartain for the front of his 4runner. From what I understand the Spartain is the new kid on the block.

 

I would vote Aussie, but am hearing good things about the spartain, mainly about how the pins in it are made.

Yeah, that last trip to BVORR was a real kick in the nuts. I am not going back without a locker.

 

Hurry up and get the damn locker, my family is ready to camp there again.. that was a lot of fun. I am really looking forward to Memorial weekend!

Man, I am camping with the scouts this weekend, and it is nasty wet weather.. better than stupid hot i guess.

 

Did you get free for Memorial day weekend to make the Long Ranch meet?

 

We changed where we are camping. We are now camping 10 miles from long ranch by Buchanan lake.. it's an LCRA park. I think "that guy" might even bring a ski boat and we might spend some time on the water too. Drew said he was game, and I know Andy and Jason will be too.

Want to camp with us? Maybe bring Brandi and the kids?
