I go with what he said, I would look into a lawyer who deals with H.O.A.'s. and the protection of the homeowner.
Have a copy of your rules and regulations handy. I would also, keep a close look out, if they are watching you, you watch them and get it on film, "whats good for the goose is good for the gander" If this comes to a head and I am sure it will this he said, she said BS will not work.

I think you need to start getting out your camera, clipboard, and tape measure. Start going around and measuring everything, taking notes, and pictures of everything. People really hate it when they're being watched and judged. You should be measuring the height of their grass even.

You can actually be drawing little scenes on your clipboard, but make sure you look like you are really checking on them.

I think this is the real reason you're building Golf ball launchers, flame throwers, etc.

    Preparing for battle.

chris...i just got off the phone with my buddy...i can get you as much cricket poop as you would like...and ship it to you

he claims it to be the worst smelling stuff he's ever smelled when its wet...and it helps your garden grow...im thinking you should fertilize your own yard with it so it stinks up the whole neighborhood

unless you got a better idea for dirt that smells like hell when it gets wet :D

this is true. a common misconception in America is that you can do whatever you want with you land, unfortunately this is not true. For example, when you take out a loan from the bank to buy a house, they consider it a vested interest. As long as you owe the bank money (pay a mortgage) then they have a say in what you do with your house. from their perspective, if you lost your job and stopped making payments, then they need to be able to sell that house to make their money back. But if you let your house go (peeling paint, junkyard in the back yard, unsound structure, leaking roof etc...) to an extent that the resale would be drastically lower than it would if it were in good shape, they have legal precedent to FORCE you to make repairs. if you fail to do so they can foreclose on the basis that their "investment" is suffering at your hands, even if you have never been late on a payment. This is obviously not what's happening to you but it's just an example of how just because its your land doesn't give you free reign to do what you want.

thats exactly what you need to do, make sure if you suffer EVERYONE suffers. if that happens there may be some reforms in the HOA

man i wish i lived out there, this sounds just like the kind of stuff i like doing. i love rocking the boat :)

Ok. I got some good photos. and some notes. Seems that after I was takeing the pics, one lady started cleaning up her front yard. Interesting. Im not worried.
Tiger, I like the idea of the cricket poop. I may hit you up later after I discuss this with the Wife. Krazie SJ, Another good idea! While out walking takeing photos, I had a chat with some of my neigbors. Seems a few of them have been harrased, and when I told them what happened Today with the boat, they couldnt belive it. My Neigbor, Bob (the Vietnam vet.) wants to talk to the Lawyer also. I guess to be a witness as to what kind of neigbor I am. For now, I guess We'll see what transpires next week when I meet with the Lawyer.
