I'd love to see build quality comparison to a newer box. Pro's and cons' and such. Would be interesting. Granted, the newer tech is going to have some features the older ones don't, but I mean in terms of durability. Must be doing something right if yours is still holding up.
I'm not old btw... 36. I just hover around you old farts at your morning coffee spots ;) Soak it up like a sponge haha.

I learned so very much working and talking to older coworkers and people I met at different places where skilled trades people tend to go.

So much knowledge never makes it into print just word of mouth

A good way to avoid oversight.

"Hey bill, can you show me how you train your guys to do this"
"Yea, sure, put your gloves on"
"Oh, I was hoping for a .pdf, possibly a powerpoint presentation.."

Three pages in and no mention of Wright Tool? :oldglory:

When I need to replace or just something new, I go with Wright. Quality stuff made in Ohio.

One of the best examples was when Mack Trucks built the Brand New Plant in Winnsboro SC they built the line from the Prints of 5C in Allentown Just updated electronics.

Over the years The maintenance People installed so many upgrades to the line that were never added to the prints .

    It was quite interesting

You know you are old when you read this stuff about tools people got in the 70's and 80's that they think are old.

Your getting old when you can remember going to the gas station and it was full serve.
Your getting old when you used to get stoned listening to Lynryd Skynryds Free Bird.
Your getting old if your first car was a 65 Corvair like me. Dad thought I wouldnt kill myself in it when I was getting hi and listening to Skynryd.
Your getting old when you see your high school buddies and they have all gained 50 pounds and lost their hair.
Your getting old when you look in the mirror and you see you gained 50 pounds too and lost your hair.

I'm still using 'Texaco containers' from Texaco station nearby, given away in the early 1980's. Bullet proof.

I believe that is 1/2 of a foundry mold.
I was in an old foundry years ago and they had 1000's of molds of all kinds dating back close to 100 years.
The pattern making shop was right out of the 1920 - 40's era as well.

Then pay phones were always placed where it was impossible to hear When you needed to return the call ASAP

The mall, a restaraunt near the kitchen, streetside. Now you see the empty places where they used to be.

When I was in high school, Cell phone's didn't exist, as they do today. We actually had to ride our bikes and play outdoors...
