I have one of those also. Someone always asks me if I want to sell it. The new ones are junk, seen pieces break off when hit with a hammer.

I lived outside in bunkers and forts when school was out.

I got my Drivers License The Bike got Parked . Living in the country it was a few miles to my nearest friend .

Closest thing to a Cell Phone was the Star Trek communicators and The Dick Tracy Watches

Pretty much the same here, stores were a couple of miles away..plus I had paper routes very young. That said I loved BMX and still do..so any time on the bike was also practice for race day

Same, or doing tricks. I can still pull some tricks even at my age..but let's just say my feet don't get that high off the ground as freely now

You know you’re old when you can step into a vehicle that has a manual transmission and drive it.

also, when you know how to use this:

I'm old enough that I clearly recall my mom, and everyone's mom collecting and using Blue Chip Stamps to redeem for just about anything you could buy.

I recall UHF & VHF dials on television sets.

I recall when cable TV first came around. And it's Big Claim that if you paid for TV, there would be no commercials. What a crock of schidt that turned out to be.........

I remember when skateboarding suddenly became the be-all and end-all of just about everything.

    That's because you're over 20yrs old.

My younger brother has 5 sons. Only 2 were taught how to even sign their name in cursive or read an analog clock. The banks now have to accept checks that have printed signatures.

In Japan, the kids are taught 3 levels of written Japanese script(Hirogana, Katakana, and Kanji), as well as "Roman letters" which are what our kids are taught.
Kanji has over 5000 characters and the direction of the pen stroke is important on many letters because the start (thick) vs finish (thin) ends of the stroke mean different things.
