I heated and bent 1/8 bar stock for the two front brackets, copying the factory profile. I wanted to bolt the BMW rails to them, rather than weld. (and I didn't want to remove the original brackets from my old seats, in case someone could use them) Here is the front bracket

Here is a box bracket I made from two short pieces of 2 inch angle iron, after shortening two of the sides to 1 3/4. The one next to the tunnel was 2 3/4, so I added stock to that one, after creating the box. (Just working with what I had lying around, which wasn't much!!) The outside one uses the stock bolt location, and the inside one was bolted through the floor board and backed up with a big fender washer.[IMG]

I set it as far forward as I thought necessary for my 4 foot 9 inch wife to be able to reach the pedals. The BMW seats have something like 10 or more inches of movement. Obviously, you can adjust the placement of the rails to accommodate shorter or taller. Here is all the way forward. At this setting, my 32 inch inseam legs would be driven through the dash. Second picture is all the way back, notice that the back of the seat is considerably behind the arm rest. I can't reach the pedals at all at the rearward position, so it would work for a very tall person as far as leg room. Not so much for head room though, if you were really tall!!!

I would have my doubts. Better if you could keep the quick release (I assume those trucks still have that. My '92 X-tra cab did) I have seen some discussion about using other Toyota line seats, i.e. out of the Celica, MR2, etc, and switching the track mechanisms from truck seats to them.

Yes. I used the stock holes. They work even better actually since the liner material is thinner.

Home built bumper. It worked really well for a “wingin it” bumper with no plans. Thanks for the compliment.

I dig that shifter set up. What year is that out of? looks like it would fit in my 96 and i could use the extra cup holder.
