What can't you do? you have all those machining tools tucked in your garage, or do you have access to them at your place of work? Either way, so jealous.

Thanks! I like to think anything is possible within a garage as long as there is no time limit on the duration of a project.

This is just all self learned and a hobby I enjoy. As I prefer to do things myself and slowly build up my gears when needed for as cheaply as possible, which often times means I'd get sidetracked having to build machines or modify tools myself when necessary.

Suspension, 33s, some armor... Rust, Gray wire and 2Low, and more. T4r is stock.
You can come work on my truck anytime, LOL... Please post more! I use this thread for ideas on what to do and how to on my truck and what you have posted so far has me really thinking. If you really don't want to flood this thread with your work, start a build thread and give us a link to it. I'm anxious to what other great ideas you have come up with!

How's that sound? Never had good bass with the Free air subs. But not to much room in my extracab for minimum 1 cubic foot sealed boxes. Trying for 12's but might settle for a few 10's. Mounted to rear wall like that should act like a bass shaker to. Good shit

I love the sound. Nice tonal construction. Plenty of output.
    The key to free air:
1:never expect it to rattle windows in a truck.
2: preparation and attention to detail. The front and rear wave must be completely isolated from one another. If the opposing wave can get into the airspace it will cause cancellation.
3: subwoofer selection is key, don’t just look for subs rated for Freeair. You’ve gotta know how to read the TS parameters and understand how the woofer will react to the environment.
4: good clean power. And plenty of it.
5: as many woofers as you can afford, and fit. I’ll be changing mine out eventually for 5-8” subs.

Idk about your mother, but Toyota would be proud of you. Any plans for the turn signals?

Really like your FJ80 grille mod, if the damn grilles werent so expensive I'd buy a new one for my FZJ80 and use its grille on the taco. Here's an old pic from my last truck, but it looks like we use the same method for securing our turn bulbs haha

What are those mounts for? Is the grill not sitting in its original position?

The upper t shape mounts? They were temporary supports while I worked out some mounting details. And never removed them. Lol. They don’t hurt anything, so I just left them.
No the grill doesn’t bolt in like factory. I wasn’t willing to go that far in my fit and finish work.
